Kjconn I don't mean to tread-jack here but I see several that have rebuilt engines. What is a fair price for a 92 2.5l to be rebuilt?

stimpy 95 2.5 with 197,000 miles on the original motor. Recently replaced the water pump and I'm on my 3rd starter. Besides that it runs strong. To bad the AX5 isn't built as well.

busemans sold wife's 93 with 198k miles on it. 93 zj had 200k on it when it was totalled. our 95 xj had 200k when we sold it. all 4.0 straight 6s.

ClydeW I have a '95 jeep Wrangler with 265k (and counting) poor thing doesn't owe me a dime...... starting to go through some oil... soooo thinking of getting a rebuilt engine. Wish the new jeeps were the same size as mine.. I would go that route in a heart beat.

Undead-89 203,000 Original 4.2 bought it with 10 miles on it. it has been abused sometimes neglected. Made a Trip to England and back. lived 13 years in Chicago's salty winters. It keeps running almost no matter what. And almost every fix turns out to be something simpler than I tried at first.

The thing runs on Bubblegum and wishes and I still use it as my Daily Driver. It may have died a few times already, but neither of us seem to have noticed. It is truly one of the driving Undead.

Jeep-YJ-91 91 YJ with the 2.5L at 178,000 miles and counting. All original and still running strong!!!

cgborders 95 Sahara- 194,000. Original 6cyl and original 5spd. Runs great! No question about jumping in and driving from North Jersey to Atlanta.

Jarrodbeckstead 92' YJ with 220k original miles - $3500. Towing it home after it dies on the way - $150. Refilling the gas tank because you're retarded enough not to check - $50. Realizing the odometer stopped god knows how many miles ago - Priceless. There are some things money can't buy, but for everything else there's a parts department.
