The_Colonel Well my first vehicle was a 1988 Hilux Surf. 2.4L turbo diesel. I still see her getting around town so that makes me happy

Second vehicle was a 2003 FPV (Ford Performance Vehicles) Pursuit. A hugely powerful 5.4L V8.

This is what she sounds like. It still gives me goosebumps

W5KVV I'll play along if you guys don't mind listening to my babble.

My first vehicle was a YJ. In high school, my friends had CJ's & that's what I really wanted, but the folks were leaning towards an XJ. I was stoked like you wouldn't believe when they agreed to co-sign with me on a 1995 Rio Grande. I don't have the energy to tell you guys about the fun I had in that Jeep. It started my love of the "open body utility vehicle." This is the only picture of it I have. Circa 1998.

Sold off the YJ in 2000, got this 2001 Dodge after graduating high school. It was the first & only brand new vehicle I ever bought to date. My folks co-signed with me on it, but I busted my ass & made every payment. I worked two jobs while I was in college to pay for it. It was a great truck. It had the 5.9 & would haul azz like you wouldn't believe. Again, this is the only pic I have of it. Pictures didn't seem to be as big of a deal back then as they do now...

Drove the wheels off poor old Big Red for a few years. It's now 2004 & life has happened. Thankfully the wife & I had landed good jobs by this time. I traded Big Red in on a 2002 quad cab Dak do to the fact that the wife was prego & we needed the room. I don't have any pics of it when I bought it, but it was just a bone stock Dakota 4x4. Here's a pic of it when I got finished with it. 2" TB crank & 3" body. 33/12.50's 4:56's. Hanson bumpers, etc. It was a very capable little truck, but it could have benefited from a SAS.

We just finished installing the 3"BL wheels & tires in this pic. Man it looked good.

I kept the Dak until 07 when it was decided we needed something that would pull a trailer. Enter my current ride, a 01 Dodge 4x4 dubbed mighty whitey. I sold the little Dakota & bought this one. It has been a great truck.

Before & after pics for your enjoyment.

The day I drove it home, summer of 07:

How it sits as of right now:

Last but not least, I just picked up this 95 YJ. The circle is complete. I'm right back where I started. This is going to be a daily driver & a trail rig. The Dodge is killing me on gas driving it back & 4th to work. My kiddos, having never had the experience of riding in a Jeep, are chomping at the bit for the top to come off. I'm looking forward to this build more than any other I have done in the past. Every time I get in it, it's a total throw back for me.

JD95YJ I'm 25 now..
My first jeep was my 2nd/3rd vehicle.. Can't remember haha. Was still in high school though.
My first car was an auction car, just a Ford Escort ZX2 woohoo LOL. but I took it and ended up working 2 jobs while in school.
I purchased a 94 YJ and a 63 Fairlane 500. I also ended up getting a Harley that was passed down to me. Well just before I turned 21 and the economy was steadily plummeting, I bought my house. Ended up selling my Harley and the Jeep for the down payment..STUPID mistake and I still miss that YJ to this day.
Then I ended up getting a Silverado 2500 for hauling shiz and another Harley.
Then I started working for Delta Air Lines in 2009. Then I decided I needed a go-fast car So I bought an '08 Infiniti G37S and in less than a month I was getting speeding tickets again
My wife and I decided it was time to start trying for a child towards the summer 2012 and finally conceived in Jan 2013.. so I traded the Infiniti in on a new Silverado and traded my old 2500 for another YJ.. So now I have a Silverado as my DD, a Harley, YJ, and my 63 Fairlane that I'm keeping to restore with my son who will be here literally any day now..

ChodeMode My first vehicle was a stock 1996 Cherokee. My dad bought it new in 96 and gave it to me in 2002 when I turned 16. I spent almost every penny I made on my Jeep, and I kept it until I could no longer afford to fix it. I sold it to a fellow Jeep lover, and leased a 2007 Mazda 3 because it was cheap, and I was pretty broke at the time. After the Mazda, I bought a 2008 Dodge Nitro, which I hated, so a year later I traded it in on a 2008 Volvo C30 2.0. I really loved that car, but I've always been a Jeep lover at heart. So when I went with my girlfriend to look at a Jeep Liberty, and saw this 2012 JK Unlimited with only 12k miles, I was sold, and we both left with new Jeeps that day!

As you can see, I have always been a fan of black on white.

1996 geo prizm
1999 4 door vw golf. It was lowered a bit and had some suspension mods done to it. This car really made me realize how to properly set up and get what I wanted a vehicle to do.
2003 Subaru impreza wrx. Bought stock with just under 40,000 miles on it. Sold it with a snapped connecting rod in cylinder #3 with 178,000 miles and 420 hp to the wheels. I built that car to be my daily driven, toast just about anything out there, and have fun in the snow beast. The thing was an absolute monster and a joy to drive everyday. I still miss her and I think I always will. I know it's sad, but I still keep a picture hung of her in my garage. The Subaru broke so I bought my tj. The wife wanted to keep one of our vehicles 4 wheel drive, and I need something I can have fun in. This led me to look at jeeps and stay out if a car loan. Plus she told me if I came home with another Subaru, she would leave. Lol...seriously though.

The subie! Damn, I miss that car.

The tj. I have to get more recent pictures, now on 285/75r16 tires, mounted on polished aluminum. Same 2.25 bb and 1.25 bl as in the pic, but tire size has change.
Anyway, thank you for taking me on a trip down memory lane.

Hey your wife was looking out for you and pointing you in the correct path when she said no more Subarus. Should of came home with an EVO
