Fweaky As easy as most are to replace, I prefer to have the ones without the fittings and change them every now and then.

Vaultzz My grandpa recomended the ones that come sealed and greased inside, are those better, equal, or worse then greasable?

baja Yep.

4point Actually the zurk type u-joints are weaker due to the grease duct being drilled into them. No zurk type fitting are best for strength and just keep an eye on them.

Manolito When you replace be sure to get UJoints with grease fittings.
Ray major reputation for that saying I put coffee through my nose on that.
Freaky the answer is based on age. When i was younger not long. ;-)

4point Yup! Thats just a lack of maintenance.

Fweaky Looks like you got all your money's worth out of that U-joint!
How long does it take to wear out a $3 hooker?
03-04-2010 11:15 PM
Storm27m WOW...never seen a U-joint that looked that bad.

Ray - San Jose I think corrosion is a bigger concern than the driveline angle. Without lube for the bearings in the caps, you'll wear those U joints out faster than a $3 hooker.

Vaultzz As in no grease? I was thinking that but I don't see anywhere that I could have put in the grease

Vaultzz And if you look carefully at the 1st 3 pictures, you can see how my Jeep knows how to weld better than I do

Weird w.question involving drive line angle and the front Drive shaft

Hello

I was just thinking and I'm not sure at all but I think that the angle of my front drive shaft is the reason that I broke my front output yoke and front drive shaft.

Which to me doesn't make any sense since my rear drive shaft is fine and I've never felt any vibrations from it. But while in 4HI between 27 - 31 mph the front drive shaft would vibrate like CRAZY! Shaking my whole dash, but it only broke in 4LO so before I start rambling heres some pics of what happened to them:

Theres no way to edit a title is there? I feel stupid now
