|InfernoGirl||Yes, but if you go wider than 10.5" you will have to either buy new wheels or wheel spacers. You must have less backspacing for wider tires.|

|rellyynn||Oh thanks. But 2006 Jeep Wrangler X's can have 33 inch tires put on them, right?|

|rellyynn||Thanks everone on the help. But what do you mean by triming alot?|

|terrible2||yea you can do it with 2" llift...but youll have to trim alot and your tires will rub on the inside unless you get wider backspacing I believe.|

if this helps any, i've got about 3" sus., 1"BL on 33's, then trimmed the flares....
my lift is a little more budget conscious, went to the yard and grabbed front and rear zj coil springs for $70. skyjacker shocks still worked from the 2"BB,$127, drilled a new hole to relocate the front trac bar, got a rear trac bar relocating bracket from a friend. then used hockey pucks for the bump stops. $15 for pucks and hardware. trimmed the flares. ummm i think that was it. maybe cost ya $250 to get the job done. shouldn't be much more though.
there's some heavy stuff in the rear seat, and its on an incline otherwise it sits flat.

|catITguy||I think 3" total is the practical min for 33s. Yes, they will physically fit with 2" of lift but flex will be almost nonexistant. If that is not important to you 2" is fine. Most go with 3-4" of total lift (BB, suspension, BL or some combination thereof) to run 33s. I have 2.5" suspension lift and a 1.25" BL for a total of 3.75" and I think its about perfect for 33s.|

the spring spacers go on top or the spring and are what actually lifts it (in a budget boost)
the red rubber pieces in this pic is the spring spacer, aka budget boost.

|rellyynn||what will the Spring Spacers do if i get a budget boost? Because i dont know much about them|

A 2" budget boost (spring spacers) and a 1" body lift is enough to clear 33's quite well.
A 3" suspension lift would be nice (IMO) but usually requires the replacement of a lot more parts.

Im looking up info about 33" tires for a jeep Wrangler. I got a 2006 Jeep wrangler X and instead of getting 31" tires im going to go for 33''s. I heard though that I will probably will need to get a lift for 33s. Would a 2.5, 2.75, or a 3 inch lift on 33" tires be safe?
