Hexxum I love my Best Top. I'm hammering out a few details with Best Top currently, but my Trektop is awesome. Take a look at my downloaded pic for an example.

My PO made a bow that clips on under my trailcover to keep rain from puddling. I have read about a lot of folks who cut off a broom handle to stick in the cupholder to use as a prop too. I've also seen some pvc bows made for toneau covers and trailcovers. You might look into something similar for your top.

wolfen Saturday I went down to the Beach ops yard to do a little ot for my old supervisor, they had a hand rail down on the beach that was broke, if you saw a guy out on the board walk with a little Honda generator/welder working on a hand rail, that was me

tec498 I was actually in VA Beach on Saturday. Went to 17th street surf shop and spent some time sitting on the beach watching the waves roll in. I really needed to relax and that did the trick.

You think yours are mild, come to VA Beach, we had out first snow since 03 this year, winter here starts in Jan and ends this month. So i never have a need for a winter friendly top at all, as long as the snow doesn't get to heavy

InfernoGirl Rampage acquired the rights to make the Viking tops, afaik. Try looking for them. They are about 1/2 the price of the Viking tops. Bestop makes a fastback top too. Or you can scour the ads for a used top....

Cons_Table Go with a viking top, you wont regret it. After you get the hang of it, install and removal is easy. There is no hardware to hassle with and the zippers work well. Plus, it doubles as a safari top which is nice in the summer when you take the doors off. Ive heard of that top that is identical to the viking, but also cant remember the name. Ive heard that its the exact same thing but around half the price I think.

wolfen I have a best top replace a top, that's the factory one that a Jeep comes with, I've been told that a best Top Sail Cloth Top is quieter, but I have no experience with that one, but I have been told to stay away from Pavement ends Tops, by several people.
I ordered mine through jeep Top Depot, the quality of service I received from them will keep my business forever.
I have hard doors but I think the sliding window replaces the upper door window on half door Jeeps, in which case you but the upper door skins and zip the sliding window in, as far as I know anyway.

my old soft top has to go

Just put this thing back up for the first time this year and man was it hard.... the zippers on this thing are so hard to pull and the rear window zipper has some missing teeth... I've been looking at the Viking tops and I will probably go ahead and drop the cash in June when it really heats up. Are those things much easier to put on? I tried to look for a video of someone putting it up but I couldn't find one.

The fabric on my bestop upper sliding windows is starting to look worn as well so I may go ahead and replace those at the same time. Can you just get the fabrik to go around the glass windows or do you have to get the whole thing? I can't find just the fabric. If the whole thing needs to be replaced I'm just going to get the ones with the zipper to save money.

There is a top that is identical to the viking top for much less money but I can't remember who makes it and what its called. Does anyone know and is it of good quality?
