Pleiner87 Wow, its true about the airbags taking alot to deploy... Several fences and nothing! My friends old ford escort tapped a concrete lamp post (not even paint damage) and boom SRS in our faces!

frankenbury Yeah that happened here in Kansas City. The morning after a local D.J. said it was bada$$ and made him proud to be a Wrangler owner.

BeepBeepImaJeep and just think if it was a trail beast... i mean it was stock from the looks of it, haha if it was a big lifted jeep with some bais tires and stuff, he would've gone places the helicopter would have trouble with.

AFGUY1980 I am so glad i have a jeep. A true legend. LOL

blacksport Nuts! I like how the reporter was like "O I think this might be it right here" when the guy hit the metal fence and had to back up. Jeeps can back out of almost anything lol.
03-10-2010 12:27 PM
skoal18 He must have run out of gas...
03-10-2010 12:23 PM
gabeinaz If that thing gets totalled out, someone'll get a good deal on a famous Jeep.

He could have blew the radiator and over heated (though there was no smoke coming from the engine). Maybe cut some exhaust system on the fences(cat converter or muffler)

Whatever happened to it I wouldn't allow the insurance company try to fix it. Though that Jeep owner has a pretty good case with the driver. I would get the most expensive rental and sue him for that as well.

Well found the link in another thread about the chase.

Wild Chase Ends in Rooftop Surrender - NBC Action News KSHB-TV 41

The guy had multiple felony warrants in Kansas and Missouri. Also the Jeep was stolen. And the passenger was a women that was armed during the chase and was arrested before the driver. Didn't say what they threw out the window but we probably already know it was drugs.

+1. They are stout vehicles...can take a lot of abuse.

That was an entertaining police chase.
03-09-2010 09:29 AM
Hexxum With the Police Interceptor, it probably just creates enough tire speed to pull it through anything.
