The ARBs really eliminate the need for any other additional lighting.

|LongRifle45||I just installed JW Speakers on my 2013 JKUR and I couldn't be happier. I was blown away with how bright they are. The light pattern is very smooth and wide with a sharp cutoff. As a matter of fact, my stock fog lights don't even show up if I turn them on. I will most likely replace the stock fogs with the Speaker fogs at some point. I struggled with the cost initially, but now that I have them installed I have no regrets and wish I would have done it sooner.|

So I have $1000 worth of accessory lighting but I can't see driving down my street. I amazed that Chrysler is so stupid that they have not figured out we are willing to pay for a good set of headlights. When MB owned them you would think some of the technology would have came their way. I guess night as they are still using candles for light. We are willing to pay for quality lights Chrysler and you could use the money! How about a $1000 option for self leveling xenon lights? Had them on SLK that was 6 inchs off the ground and they were the best lights I have ever seen. New Jeep order how just sent $800 to an after market company because Jeep is asleep at the wheel!
Ordered a set of JW in Black with anti Flicker- $800 delivered for all was the best I could find.

|djwrangler||Just to follow up, Truck-lite emailed back and said any of their distributors can order up the part numbers for the ECE versions of the lights.|
|01-02-2014 06:23 PM|
Just did some digging and emailed Truck-lite. They do make ECE-approved LED Headlights. Both in 7" Round and 5x7. The trouble seems to be finding them for sale in the U.S. I emailed again for some more info.
The part number for the ECE 5x7 lights are: 27490c for Right Hand Traffic (US)
27290c for the 7" round RHT versions
These lights should have the improved pattern similar to many H4/E-code upgrades only with the improved output of LEDs. I'll let you guys know what I find out.

Put 2-3 wraps of electric tape around the housing, then put the retaining ring on.
Checked my plugs and swapped headlights, one is definitely dead. Didn't even have them for a week.

|VaderJK12||Installed the Trucklites the other day. The headlights are not snug, they fit and all but the entire housing seems a little loose. Does the housing need to be trimmed at all? Anyone else have this issue?|

Just installed the TLs on my YJ. I gotta say Im not really impressed with the beam pattern. Looks like stock only brighter. No decent cutoff, just two bright hot spots. My Hella H4s had a way better pattern and I was just running regular wattage Sylvania bulbs.
That said, they do light up the road pretty well. I'd probably compare them to the reflector-style OEM HIDs. Im gonna play around with the aiming and run them for a week to see how I feel about them. Right now though, I don't think they are several hundred dollars better than a good H4 upgrade.

|markmontana||Installed my Trucklites yesterday. Plug and play install. No modifications- perfect fit. Upgraded from an H4 halogen, so they were already brighter than stock. Really light up the road- very pleased.|

|TRAUMAhead||Haven't had time yet, just set them so the cut off is right about the top edge of a trunk of a small sedan. Another thing I noticed is when I'm 2-3 feet from a wall, the high beam hot spots are offset compared to my low beam. High beams look centered, low beams are off to the right a bit. Noticeable when I'm driving straight, the V hot spot is closer to the right lane.|
|12-29-2013 10:26 PM|
The hot spot can be minimized by playing with horizontal aiming.
I know every Jeep is different, mine did not need any tape to fit snug.

|TRAUMAhead||Just installed Truck-lites with a RallyLights harness, first impressions disappointed so far. Previous lights were $35 eBay HIDs/stock housing that were brighter with a better spread but worse cut off. The driver side sticks out forward slightly more than the passenger side, pretty sure they were seated all the way but I need to double check. Read about the TLs fitting a bit loose, so I also wrapped them in electrical tape so the retaining ring would fit snug. V hot spot was really noticeable, not sure if I can get use to them. If the TLs don't grow on me, I'm gonna sell them and go back to halogen lights with Hella E-code housings.|

Ordered my Truck Lite's last night with my Christmas money from my Grandparents, and the Amazon card I got from work, plus my Tenure Bonus.
$360 off Amazon (not there anymore), plus the cards and money from Christmas, they only cost me $80. Should be here next Thursday, can't wait.

I just ordered a pair of JW Speaker 8700's and a pair of Trucklite anti-flicker harnesses. The prices I found on the other sites were about the same, so just went with Quadratec since they've always been dependable.
I reminded myself last night how much I really needed to upgrade my headlights by attempting to drive home without the fogs on. After a string of curses and a mile later, I turned the fogs back on because one simply cannot drive with the headlights, alone (at low beam anyway).
Has anyone upgraded to the JW fog lights? Curious to know how they are v/s the stock fogs?
