Kevbz Here in StL, 4 white castles, 2 chicken w/cheese, and a cheese fry are almost mandatory for any meal after 2am. I still have a iron "constitution" but could see where one day I'd have to put it on my only in an emergency list!

Well my cousins and I used to order a 5x burger... Not sure if they still will make those. But animal fries, animal style double double, neo shake, etc. Basically the menu is not as small as it seems.

Paulie Yum! When we lived on the West coast we used to get them in the grocery freezer section. They weren't anywhere as good as fresh but good enough to take care of the crave. Now we have one a few miles down the road. Now I miss West coast food like fish tacos, In-N-Out, and Carls Jr.

chucky cheese IN an out is great. No White Castles here but most of the burger joints sell Castle burgers. They are like crack. The drug kind. What did you think I meant?

SandDevil93 Only knew about "animal style" fries.........googled it, now I have to go there tomorrow!!!!

Robin in VA We don't have them in central virginia, but I love going there when we visit NJ! They had some amazing sweet potato fries last time we went.

SandDevil93 They couldn't be tastier than an In-N-Out burger..........could they?! Never had one....YET!

MuddyMO 64055 HUGE fan..... they use to be in Kansas City, and vanished in the night about 10 years ago. I was pissed. Only time I get them now is if I head east.. pretty much St. Louis, or get the crappy frozen ones from the grocery store.... just not the same.
02-29-2012 04:49 PM
teknoid I have 'em once or twice a month. That's about all I can handle now, but they sure are tasty. Used to be my favorite snack with beer in my younger days. It got a bit lonely the day after though.

Ibuildembig They are good but their chicken sandwhich is the bomb
02-29-2012 04:40 PM
BigManAndy No White Castles here in Upstate NY. I've only had the frozen ones I can get at the grocery store.

Hexxum 2 years later, the question remains, and I'm still living. These are sure good burgers!

03-11-2010 08:39 AM
Hilldweller And they're good for you too.

This is the one I used to go to as a kid:

My mother used to go to it when she was a kid during WWII.

Dang; I want a Murder Burger now...

I found the best part of those tiny burgers to be the holes.

Hexxum ahh.. my bad.. I was thinking of their home office. That was moved there in 1934.

White Castle was founded in 1921 in Wichita, Kansas. The name was chosen carefully with “White” signifying purity, and “Castle” signifying strength, stability and permanence. Guess it worked.
