Argent Also back in May, had my buddy order my a rattle can of Hydro Blue so I could paint trim pieces....finally showed up today!

Argent so this weekend I went out to meet some of my new club members (I just joined Wicked Jeeps Michigan chapter - Home) and partook in the shooting of a promo video for an upcoming charity trail ride.

sadly we didn't actually go do any trail riding for the shoot - but it was nice to get out and meet my other club members.

StarBrite Hey, Paul! Check out the WF Facebook page!
09-16-2014 09:38 AM
Argent Thanks StarBrite - not bad considering most of them were from my cell phone!

StarBrite Man, that looks like it was a great trip! Sorry to see the windshield crack though.

You take beautiful pics, even if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Argent Stopped for some more photo ops

and then after we got back to the cabin and had dinner - we headed down to the southern end of the island at dusk - and got to play with all our off road lights!

Sadly the weather was mostly cloudy and chance of rain all weekend - so there were no real sunrises to go get the shot I wanted to...

Saw lots of birds - got a couple shots..

Did manage to get sort of a sunrise the last morning we were there....HDR

Then the obligatory group shot...

and one for fun....

Then on the way back from North Carolina to Michigan....this happened...

and so did this...

All in all I put 1941 miles on the Jeep - got it dirty, got it sandy, got it wet....and had lots of fun.

Argent SO on to some more pics....

this is the cabin we stayed in

and the view from the deck towards the Atlantic Ocean

The next day we aired down to go play on the beach!

and off we went!

I will admit - that driving on the beach......well it gets REALLY boring REALLY quick - and it's a lot of work - the Jeep kept fighting me as it wanted to follow in the other ruts on the beach - my arms were sore after driving all day from fighting with the wheel.

Stopped for some photo ops...

Drove through more water (this was before we drove up the 'river')

Here's a video my friend took following me back down the road

Yeah, I did notice that. I was freaked out and I already knew you had to have made it out safely, since you posted the video!

Argent my guess is because they're kids and they don't know any better?

the adults I've put back there have already commented on how nicer it is now
09-02-2014 09:04 PM
042 LOL the problem is after they ride in Argent's Jeep they'll hate the back seat in War Pig and Celticon. Of course if they never get to see a reclined rear seat...
09-01-2014 10:26 PM
StarBrite I wonder if it would really make a difference to the kids. They've never complained...

Not really, I wasn't counting but I'd say 30-45 minutes, we used an air ratchet to take the bolts out but put them back in with a torque wrench

Argent Installed the rear seat recline kit from eBay everyone seems to love the back seat is a lot more comfy to sit in now!

and since I was 'under' there - I took a picture of my first mod - which hasn't seen the light of day until now - the Metalcloak middle seat support plate thingy

StarBrite Looks good, Paul! We have the same CB!
08-17-2014 03:12 PM
Argent alright so I finished the install up this afternoon for the most part - the external speaker I just tossed under my seat for now until I can figure out where to run it, and I still need to take it out someplace wide open and tune it properly.

ran the wires up through the hole in the passenger side

came out and around and directly to the battery with inline fuses on both the positive and the ground

and it's aliiiiiiiive!
08-16-2014 01:09 PM
042 Nice clean install on the CB! I know some folks carve out the padding around the roll bar above the driver's left shoulder and hide a speaker in there. To avoid problems with power run a line from the battery; it will save you headaches later. There is a good grounding location in the driver's side footwell, no need to run it from the battery. Also make sure you have a good solid ground for your antenna or more headaches

Argent So I started my CB install yesterday.....only got about halfway thought...

still need to figure out how I'm going to run power and also where to mount and run the external speaker
