Do you know which one you are gonna go with yet? I've seen a few out there and am thinking about making one. However, I don't think I'll have the doors off often so right now I just put them on a couple pool noodles and lean them against the wall.

Argent don't have the camera wired up yet - just the harness in to the back of the radio - and then yesterday had the Jeep reflashed with the new sales code for rear view camera - now at least when I put it in reverse the radio does this!

so it appears that its going to work - might rig up a quick 12v source to make sure the camera works before I go drilling holes and routing wires though

also in the works - door storage cart

Jrod9707 I've been following your thread for a little while now and figured I would chime in as thats one of the main reasons Ill be getting my Jeep with the 430. I just added one to my 06 Accord(integrated it with the OEM Nav screen) and its nice having one, but the camera replaces the license plate light(one light above each side of plate) and is recessed a little which gives you a good view going backwards but unlike my wifes CX5 it doesn't give you a wide view so you can see cars coming from the left or right side. Looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

StarBrite Aha! Do I predict a backup camera in someone's future?

Sorry about all the questions!

Well, I was going to unsubscribe but now that you just posted I won't. At least not for a couple more days.

Argent In front of my friends parents house this weekend

Argent I will certainly be driving more doorless at least this summer - I don't mind leaving the back hardtop on - I don't ride back there so I'm not missing out on the open air bit....

but I do need to get some better hinge bushings - had to use a 2x4 and a floor jack to get the rears to break free :/
06-09-2014 10:18 AM
StarBrite I love my soft top. Can't wait to throw the SpiderWebShade in there and finally figure out the Sunrider mode.

I bet that bikini would see lots of use!
06-09-2014 08:25 AM
Argent I'm trying! even tossed his seat in the back in the middle and took him and his parents for a ride around the block (they'd never been for a ride in a doorless Jeep)

really starting to think about a Cable-Style Safari Bikini Top and a tonneau cover for the summer...

Argent Went and visited my best friend and his family and his son loved the Jeep with no doors on it

Told him as soon as he could reach the pedals he could drive Uncle Paul's Jeep! haha

Argent Took all my doors off tonight....

Argent Yeah wow its like that piece of metal didn't land in the press squarely or something - the offest hole shouldn't effect the hood lock access - but still I guess wait and see what the guy from China has to say....

I had to do a lot of pushing as well - but that was because the grille wouldn't go back towards the radiator enough to get the pins in....not because they were misaligned...

Sorry about your luck hope they make good on getting you fixed right
05-31-2014 04:21 PM
scipio337 After a bit of pushing, pulling, and swearing, I got it on. I might have broke two of my mounting pins, but they're in, and secure.

The lock hole cover is slightly to the left of where it should be. Noticeable? I don't have a hood lock (that was part of my motivation to buy it), and I'm not sure if one will fit if it is off center.

Your finished product, nice and centered:

I've attached mine. I contacted the seller (hope you don't mind that I used your pic where the top mounts match), so we'll see what happens.
05-31-2014 01:04 PM
Argent Hey no problem - hope you can figure out how to make it work...

today's project was a bit easier...

removal of the mineral grey insert from the rear finally.....

and because it was such a beautiful day (and I was working on the Jeep) I decided to try my luck at getting naked....sadly this was the best I could do by myself...

the back doors didn't want to cooperate - but until I get some replacement side view mirrors anyway - I only drove it around the sub to see what it was like.....

It is a Jeep thing....and I do understand

It doesn't appear to be bent. The slot portions fit perfectly, and so does the bottom. Just some of that famous China manufacture quality. You hear that about some Smitty Bilt stuff, usually 2 out of every 10 are slightly "off".

I did take off one of the brackets on the line for the sensor, so I do have some room. I'll see if there might be a better relocation spot.

Had to stop by the office, hope to tackle it a little later. The light in my garage is horrible, and I didn't want to try it last night.

Thanks for the response!

I can probably make it work, but might take a little coercion. Hopefully, I have enough room to still still get the top pin mounts in.

And with that sensor, did you have any concerns placing it that close to the radiator? It's too late in the day to finish mine, but I'm giving it a wrap with electrician's tape (and I'm out!) to be safe.

Sorry for the blurry pics

Paul, I got the Teraflex Table with Cutting board. Have never heard it rattle, and it was very useful on the Moab trip.
