I believe you have a clip on each side, way up high, under the gas/brake pedal. It should just be a plastic screw type clip. Not sure exactly how they attatch, but I wouldn't lose much sleep over it.
I dealt with about 3" of water in my floorboards last summer as a new jeep owner. (didn't even know they had drain plugs) I pulled the front cargo area carpet to let it dry out. The insulation that is glued to the bottom of the carpet was pretty much destroyed, so I pulled it off and just put the carpet back in. Fits kinda loose, but it's ok. While I had the carpet out, I sprayed some truck bed liner paint in the floor board pans to help withstand rust. It won't be the last time my floorboards get water in them.

|s3nt3nc3d||Ditto to that...though in the back it looks like in order to take it out...you have to remove the rear seat belt clips (where they bolt to the floor in the center). I have yet to remove my carpet, but will be doing so eventually and I've heard it's pretty simple.|

|DANIMAL||The carpet in my 06 TJ attaches with snaps to the floor in only a couple of places. Otherwise it just sits in there.|

|cherokee kid||It's an "06 TJ, I should've included that part.|

|dj_chizzle||I'm guessing you didn't mean to post in the TJ forum. Mine was just attached to the floor with snaps.|

I just had to remove the interior panels and untuck it! where are you getting this moisture? if it is up front under your feet, you might just have a leaky windshield! hope I was of some kind of help!

Dealing w/water in driver and passenger side floors. I want to remove the rugs, so I can deal w/the water problem, the clips that hold them down how do I remove them w/o rendering them useless. If that can't be helped where can I purchase new ones?
