Jeremy KrawlOff-Road.com YES I was VERY bored LOL. It was my turn for 24 hour duty (work all day and up all night) On the plus sid I got Friday off so I cant complain too much. That is awesome that you got to be the guinea pig for the lights. I have to stash all the cash I can before I can get to start working on mine again. (Oh the benefits of a teenage daughter) I appreciate the help with the cart. On your problem, have you thought about using 3M Super 77 glue and gluing the carpet down instead of stapling? Thanks for the advice on the cargo lights. Where did you find the LED lights for that?

Hi, Argent! I know it's been a while since you posted the pics of your door cart, but is there any chance you could get the measurements and specs for it? I like it and might want to try building something similar.
Thanks!

I just read through this entire thread (I know I'm bored the Army has me on 24 hr duty) and start to finish this was a great write up/build thread. I really like some of the things you did and might end up doing the same to mine. Great looking Jeep! How are your KOR LED's treating you? I like how you put them in the bumper. You wired the trunk lights up through the SPOD right? Any way you could shoot me the dimensions for that door cart? I need one here in Florida.

Jeremy
Thanks Jeremy - you must be really bored! haha that's a lot to read!

the KOR LED's are great - Jason pretty much told me I was the guinea pig for mounting them in the stock fog light location. Other than a minor bolt problem (the flat rigid industries plate that goes on the front of their LED's won't bolt to the front of these because of the thread differences - Jason said he'd look in to a solution for that) and having to modify the rigid light mounts to accommodate the differences between theirs and the KOR ones. They are nice and bright - I've occasionally used them as actual fogs but I need to re-aim them.

As for the cargo area LED's those are just tapped in to the wiring for the rear dome light which is right there under the roll bar padding - they work just like extra dome lights now - and even dim without flickering (unlike my footwell ones - which I might consider upgrading to them to these)

My dad has the plans written up somewhere for the door cart (dimensions, lumber requirements etc) I'll see if I can get them from him One thing I still need to work on is a better way to protect the doors when they are in the upper slots - it seems they have been rubbing on the staples I used to hold the carpet in there and scratched the upper door frame a little bit (nothing some touchup paint can't solve though) but since it's cold up here now - I won't be taking the doors off again till next year - I've got time to figure something out.

dalearyous great thread! just clicked through every page. i may have a question or two about your CB install (will PM if necessary) ... yours is basically what i am looking to do. all i have is the teraflex tailgate mount and a 2' firestik and cable. still deciding on the rest while my winch and sPOD show up.
10-20-2014 08:16 AM
Argent Hehe - yeah, like I said one would have probably been enough but since I was up in there wiring things in - I figured I might as well wire them both in!

Argent Hey guess what!

I went out to on a Fall color tour with a couple clubs yesterday

There were 49 Jeeps there from the Michigan and Indiana chapters of Wicked Jeeps and the Michiana Jeep Club. It was a self guided 60 mile-ish tour on regular and seasonal roads.

we were handed maps in case we got lost

some places it was a bit tight

other places - not so much!

But I did get her dirty!

and after 12 hours away from home - I tucked her in the garage for the night

The next morning - we headed off to the car wash!

Before -

After - $12 later!

I love my Jeep - and my Jeep club!
