|StarBrite||Looks like a GREAT day, Paul!|

Oh and last but not least - here are a couple of videos I took of me climbing some of the hills
|12-15-2014 09:58 AM|
we even stopped to help a stuck quad buggy
All in all it was a fun but exhausting day - and if I'm going to do this again - a lift is the next thing on my list - I didn't have any traction problems - but I did bang, scrape and almost high center myself a few times which a lift would have helped with.

Went to visit Bundy Hill Off Road park yesterday with my club
Had a blast - its an old gravel pit - so lots of holes and hills to climb up and around on!
First - had to make sure I was properly flagged!
Then I met up with the rest of the club at the staging area
and off we went!
Then - I got down in a trail I probably had no right to be on without better tires and a lift....it was a narrow gap with rocks like this in it
we had to stop on this trail because one of the rigs ahead of me made friends with a tree - backwards...
so here is where I stopped #flexy
This was by far the worst trail (for me) there were BANGS! and scrapes and all kinds of noise as I bashed in to things - luckily for me - I got some ACE rock sliders last year - they earned their keep yesterday as after a particularly loud bang I got out to find this!
After finally escaping this trail - some of us broke off in to smaller groups and went to play where we wouldn't try to break things!

Do you by any chance still have the instructions? When we installed ours last year it said to only use the ACE nuts on the soft top installs. It didn't say to take out that factory nut panel. Mike's had a of a time trying to get his back in when he's taken his hard top off, because that nut panel is a pain in the . I'm wondering if they changed the instructions between now and then...

|Argent||Oh and here's my other present|
|12-08-2014 12:45 PM|
La La La! La La La! Merry Christmas to meeeeeeee!
Took some time to go visit our friend AJ over at ACE to pick up my Black Friday purchases
I then installed the easy one - the rear cargo basket (sorry Star - you're not the only Hydro with one now! :P)
Install was fairly straight forward - however if you've done the rear seat recline mod its a VERY VERY snug fit now.
First off - start by removing the 'back' two bolts from the side (the one closest to the tailgate stays) and remove the nut from underneath as well
Follow the install video from ACE - it really is that easy
See - rear seat recline and the tubes - still some clearance
However - put the basket on and there is no more gap
You really need to slam the seats backwards to get them to lock upright now - I may look in to some sort of plastic tape or something to put along the back edge of the basket to protect the seats from wear.
But - its in...and I've only smacked the back of my head on it once so far!
Coming next - unboxing the other present!

So I'll go visit AJ and the rest of the folks at ACE on Monday when I go pick up my Christmas present
just need to wait for Northridge to ship the other one!

|12-02-2014 11:24 AM|

|12-02-2014 10:37 AM|
|StarBrite||Ah, I guess that means you didn't get any BIG ACE stuff.|
|12-02-2014 10:35 AM|
Show up - I'll do the installs myself :P
nothing a sawzall and a grind wheel can't fix
|12-02-2014 09:33 AM|
|StarBrite||Waiting for them to show up, or waiting on an open appointment?|
|12-02-2014 09:15 AM|
Well - against most of my better judgement
I partook of a couple Black Friday deals on parts :P
Now to wait for them to show up......

They look really cool, Paul!
What about inside the tailgate, for the larger one?
|11-26-2014 11:27 AM|
Got them today and with the next 5 days off I'm sure I'll have plenty of time to figure out what to do with them!
