Argent and all the parts on it are apparently prototype Jeep Performance Parts - which means it sounds like Mopar might be getting it to some more aftermarket Jeep bits

StarBrite I was just messin' with you.
04-11-2014 04:51 AM
Argent Technically they call it Mopar Blue... But I think it's certainly close to Cosmos/Hydro Blue

StarBrite Psst! Isn't that Smurf Blue?

I like those wheels. I'd love to have some blue on mine. And the hood is pretty sweet, too. Too bad I'm such a cheap bastard!

I did the AC ring/grab handle mod today. I like it.

Argent StarBrite - found my inspiration

this is what I wanna be when I grow up! Except not a 4" lift on 37's but 2.5" on 33's

That or a needle and hot glue. It's really nothing difficult.

Mr_Gigglz http://www.ebay.com/itm/like/190699268643?lpid=82
(I shopped around and found it for $10 somewhere)

That's what I used. Wireless remote lets you dim as much as you want and has more color/pattern options if you care. It also has adhesive on the back of the lights so install is incredibly easy. The lights can be cut to length or lengthened if desired

Argent Got my first trip of the year planned heading down to North Carolina to visit my buddy - and we're taking our Jeeps out to Portsmouth Island

Portsmouth Island - OuterBanks.com

The first thing you'll need to visit Portsmouth Island this way is obviously a 4WD vehicle. There are no paved roads anywhere on the island, so 4WD is essential before even considering getting onboard a ferry.

Argent Nope tech support got back to me said they can't do it, need a special controller to allow that...Oh well either I'll live with it, or find something better...would like to get one back in the cargo area too...it's dark back there

StarBrite Could it be that canbus thing? Like when you replace the dome lights?

I know about electrical, I just know I've read that in one place you have to use a canbus bulb and in another you don't. And I remember that canbus is what causes flicker in the headlights/fogs.
04-04-2014 08:54 AM
Argent Only problem so far is they flicker when they dim instead of just dimming - not sure if its something I did - or if the kit I have doesn't support that or what - I sent their tech support an email asking about it though - its not overly distracting because I'm generally looking out the windshield when it happens.

StarBrite Cool! Thanks, Paul!

Argent Could get this

Amazon.com: 4pc. Multi-Color 7 Color LED Interior Underdash Lighting Kit: Automotive

(my kit was similar but only single color - they also offer just a blue kit too for a couple bucks cheaper)

What I did was unplug the lights that are under the dash and remove them (1 screw per assembly) then just took the passenger side harness and a couple scotch locks and tapped in to the wires there (yellow w/white tracer is hot and I just picked one of the blacks for ground) then I just used zip ties to mount the LED tubes under the dash and then under the front seats for the back - and ran all the wires up under the lip of the center console.

Mike put his top on last night because they were blabbing about isolated thunderstorms. They don't have enclosed parking at work, so he figured better safe than sorry. But the topless weather here has been great! I even got some sun, just driving to the store.

Argent EDIT: just talked to Jason over at KOR and the package tomorrow is just the fog light mounts the actual lights won't ship till the end of the month.

Argent Why what's in May?
03-31-2014 09:10 AM
StarBrite That sounds nice! I can't wait to get some new lights. May can't get here fast enough.
03-31-2014 08:55 AM
Argent they apparently have their own wire harness (so I could just wire them to my spod) or Jason said he could try and talk me through wiring them to work with the stock fog light switch

StarBrite Very cool! Can't wait to see pics and hear what you think of them.
