I have not checked that yet that will be the next thing I do.

I am going to search for that number to call about the build specs. I would like to have that in any case. Thanks

YAHAHA Do the VIN plates match the engine block? It is possible that somebody took a hot Jeep & "pulled" the VIN tags from a totalled Jeep to get a clean title to sell it.

Could also be a "combo-build" of 2 insurance wrecks; 1 for frame/drivetrain & the other for tub. This is another common way people make money off insurance totals; take two wrecks, splice them together & then sell.

I thought I saw a phone number on this forum that you can call to get the build specs for your vehicle.

KeithMonday It does have the tow hooks on the front the tow bar in the rear the under hood lighting and the under dash lights with the door switch also has the stripes red and white the wrangler in the back. thats why I am so confused everything about the tub says sahara but the vin still says S model. Thanks

It also has the side steps but they are black not the body color thqat the sahara's should have

Pleiner87 Making a clone is really easy, and it sounds like it may be one. Looking through my '94-'95 dealer brochures I do not see the 2.5L on the saraha. a few little things would be options all saharas came with, factory fog lamps, side steps, front tow hooks and rear draw bar, sound bar, underdash lamps & under hood lamp... also does it have the pinstriping along the side or is it just the badge? -Todd

1994 Sahara or so I thought

I hope maybe someone here can help me with my problem. I bought a 1994 sahara about three months ago, but I have come to think that maybe I really don't have a sahara but just a S model, my jeep has the sahara logos on the fenders, it is the dark green that was used on the sahara's it also has the sahara interior, ie... canvas seats with the attached bags on the back of the seats. Now here is my problem the vin decodes as a s model and it has the 2.5 liter with auto trans. from the research I have done I looks like the 2.5 was never offered in the sahara. So I am trying to find out if maybe someone tried to make a sahara clone, or is it possable that I might have a very rare prototype to the sahara ($$$ wishfull thinking $$$) looking forward to any help someone might be able to provide.
