tlrrob1000 Most carb kits come with everything that you are going to need. Make sure your choke is not sticking, change your fuel filter, check and replace your fuel hoses (especially if you can see them pulsating while it is running), check the cat and then rebuild your carb.

Will a carb rebuild kit fix this?

87 4.2, carter carb. My problem is under WOT I bog out to almost a stall. It only bogs from a cruising speed or from first taking off. I can rev it up in neutral and it seems fine. I've searched the internet and came to the conclusion that this carb sucks and if it is the original then I need a rebuild. I also saw that I may need to replace some spring on it. Not sure if the spring comes with the rebuild kit or if it something i need to buy on the side. Any advice on this? do I need to buy the kit or just look for these worn out springs?
