|tyman||It was the ignition switch|

|tyman||The starter works fine if I bypass it and manually connect the solenoid and starter. Just looks kinda funny opening the hood and starting it that way!|

|tyman||Starting to think it may have something to do with the ignition as I removed the key and the radio stayed on as if I had pulled the key all the way toward me and left it in.|

|tyman||From within the jeep turning the switch there is a click that cuts the power to the radio while starting. Would that be the click I am looking for or elsewhere?|

|Jerry Bransford||If that relay clicks when the key is turned to the Start position, that means the problem is between the starter and starter relay. If the relay doesn't click (softly, get close), that means it is between the igntion key and the relay inside the PDC. Just a little method to help isolate the problem.|

Thanks for the reply!
I just swapped the starter relay with the horn relay (same part #) horn worked on both, still no change in the starter. Also swapped any other fuses in the box that said starter / ignition just in case no luck there either.

|Jerry Bransford||Is the starter relay inside the Power Distribution Center energizing and working properly? I don't have my TJ any more to confirm for you if there is another relay you can swap it with but I think there is if I recall correctly. The PDC is located in front of the battery.|

02 TJ decided not to start yesterday afternoon, dash clicks when turning the key, no noise from starter.
Done lots of reading and tried many options...
Battery is fine, will start if I connect the starter /solenoid. Stuck a fuse in space 20 in case it was the Clutch Interlock, still nothing.
Any ideas as to what to check next?
