rrich It's no doubt a good thing it wasn't a Hummer.

They are so heavy it would have sunk clear out of sight!

I think in this case it's more about mud terrains and LSD's vs. street tires and open diff's. Yeah the wheel base has an effect but I don't think it was the biggest factor here.

Funny...when me and my friends all nearly got arrested outside of Walmart a few years ago after one friend randomly decided to bag another friend in the parking lot...and yet another friend sarcastically told a nurse who came running to help that he had just been hit by a car, but he's fine (while laughing hysterically)...who believed him and called 9-1-1...the first thing the 7 police officers and 3 paramedics who arrived at the scene asked was, "We're not gonna end up on some Jackass video, are we?"

Sure would have made the disorderly conduct charges ($169 fine per person) a lot more worthwhile...lol

Oh and they're working for me!

HMS Corsair Sweet

Not to hijack but the same thing happened to me yesterday, with a few exceptions - it was during the day and starting to snow, we had 2 jeeps but somehow 1 full size truck turned into 3 full size trucks, the guy didn't tell us that when he asked us to come out. It may not look too bad but this Texas gumbo mud is nasty nasty stuff and this County Road is notorious for sucking you in. Some jerk showed up in a HD 2500 and wanted to charge $300 to get the last truck out. He laughed at us when we only hooked up 1 Jeep to pull the last truck out and said we'd never get it done by ourselves, he didn't know that we already pulled out 2 very stuck trucks and this was actually the easiest one. He left without any money and so did we, he didn't realize that us Jeep guys stick together and sometimes the journey is more fun than the destination... I did get pics though Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket

JUST because it says 4X4 off road doesnt make it a JEEP!

lol guys only a jeep owner gets excited when his buddy with a 95' toyota and a 07' F-150 FX4 calls and says,"sorry man are you asleep, im stuck at "local spot X" think your jeep could get me out?

Me: "yea give me a min to get dressed." I remind you guys just a set of LSD front and rear, and BFG AT/KOs 2.5" lift no winch (in the mail)

Him: "well you probly wont be able to get back here a FX4 F-150(3" lift 33" new BFG A/T) is stuck trying to get to me?!"

Me: "Yea man just give me 20mins"

Ok so pull the FX4 out it was basicaly worthless in the mud...ok the toyota(street tires not upgrades what so ever) front on the ground of course open diffs so one wheel drive in the back...i said, "well let me get to the other side"

Him: " you wont make it thats where the FX4 was stuck ya know!"

Me:"just get out of the way!"

so i go around the hole where the f-150 was stuck, get hooked up on solid ground and jurk the front of the Yota out of the hole then go to the other side of the hole again and drag the Yota backwards threw it..lol so 7 hours later we are out of the bottoms and

$15 bucks at the carwash and $30 worth of gas 7 hours of my time...bragging rights over a fx4 "off road" F-150 and a good story priceless!
