Geoff@Bestop No, we make the Replace-A-Top. We don't make the replacement skins that Jp90Talon is talking about.

Our customer support manager says this:
"The OEM fabric should be cut off. The Replace-A-Top fabric goes back on using Velcro and bad words."

I'd assume that the competition's replacement skins are sort of the same.

JK Note: Evidently you can NOT reskin a factory JK upper door. Something to do with heat-sealed plastic that just won't come apart.

cnolan76 I ended up cutting mine off. That seemed to be the only way they were coming off.

InfernoGirl Really glad you asked this, as I have been wondering the same thing.... Geoff! Where are you?

Jp90Talon The ones I have are aftermarket and they are designed to slide in and some of the parts do have velcro. Now I just need to find a passenger side frame. I have one but the window is still in ok shape and really dont want to cut it up.

Here they are...

chucky cheese Just posted on wolfens thread asking the same question. I cannot see how they would come off without cutting them. And how do the new ones go on? With velcro?

Upper 1/2 door window help needed!

I purchased some replacement skins to put on the oem frames. I have spent a decent amount of time staring at the oem uppers and am usually good at puzzles.... but I can not figure out a way to get the oem skins off of the frame short from cutting them off. Is there a way to get them off without cutting or is that the only option?
