|Jay bird||How much are you paying for the one from dealer?|

I can get the locking tab off the side closest to the tail light opening but a child could not reach the far side one.
What am I missing?

nope, I used a metric smitty set. By the way, those were the worst illustrated directions that I have ever seen!!! It is easy to tell when it is tight without breaking the plastic. Have a goodun!!!!

I got a rugged ridge one for my birthday, but I think their quality, what was there, is crap. This thing looked like grabage. the faux screw heads were just little round dimples. no fake hex or anything and its really thin and the bottom wasn't even painted all the way. So after parents apologized for getting my something so cheap I said it wasn't their fault and we called the "authorized" reseller and complained he said send it back, but it took 6 weeks to get there in the first place so I took matters into my own hands.
I bed-lined it and drilled and secured the door in place with actual bolts that go through the body. It looks pretty bad ass I think. All in all not bad for about $50 and a couple hours.

I just bought and installed the Mopar fuel door today. It was about a 15 minute job. I got the black one with the chrome screws around the perimeter of the ring. At first I wasnt too crazy about the chrome until I noticed that they matched my black wheels with chrome lug nuts. Nice mod and easy to install. Have a goodun!!!!

I think I run the Rampage one and its just for looks. It locks but it can also be ripped off in a second.

I plan to install both the grab handles on the cage and a retractable side step.
She is a tiny woman and jumping up isn't an option.

My next investment is definately a fuel door. I would like to buy the Morpar fuel door to keep things original.

|Whoville Islander||Our Mopar gas door has given us no problems. Looked at alot of comments on other doors and found only a few people that would recommend the ones they bought. Seems that most had issues with the door hinges loosening up. Ordered ours from Ebay. Dealer back east had great deals on them. As far as the loose fit goes, I put a couple a dabs of silicone behind the flange when installing it and also from behind the taillight. No more little shimmy in the cover.|

"deepbluerubi;987687]I agree and do the mopar door sills too. Then upgrade the headlights. The mfg really went cheap on these vehicles......................But they look cool"
Yep, installed door sills on all my Jeeps within the first few days of ownership!
Another one of those things the factory should do.

|seadog||I bought the Rugged Ridge one w/lock. POS. First time I went to get gas, the lock wouldn't unlock. Finally got it open, but now I have to leave it unlocked. Easy install, looks good, quality lacking.|

|Texas TC||I installed the Mopar one on my '07 Jeep and the '11 came with the black Mopar package so it was included. I really don't understand why these things are not standard on all Jeep Wranglers. It really does keep the fueling area much cleaner and makes the Jeep look finished. As far as installation goes, follow the directions explicitly and you will have it installed in just a few minutes.|

|daedalus||I have the Mopar fuel door and I'm happy with it. It's good quality and the Jeep looks like it came straight from the factory that way.|

|JeepinGirl||Just be careful installing it.. The dealership installed our second one.. and it took the body guy two hours to fix his screwup.. they forced the bottom in rather than installing the tabs first. DON'T FORCE IT.|

Is there any play in your fuel door? It seems that the Mopar Door slides a bit. Thanks

Came out to be cheaper than anywhere online, even with tax included, and no waiting for the items to be shipped.
