Barricade Front Bumper Pics

Just got my Barricade HD front bumper installed today! Wanted to share a few photos. Sorry for the crappy cell phone quality.

A couple questions for those who've had them for a while:

1) There is a about a 2" gap between the top of bumper and the bottom of the grill. Has anyone filled this? It's pretty noticeable, particularly from the profile (see third pic). I may try and put the factory plastic trench cover back in there.

2) What front skid plates are people using? I know there's some uncertainty as to whether extreme terrain's front skid will play nice with this bumper. I'd like to get something under there asap.

Overall extremely happy with it! It seems extremely strong and well built. Really can't beat the price. I plan on adding a Warn Zeon winch next.

One question: I see a few different methods for securing a front license plate. This is required in my state. Any suggestions for what is best? Thanks. I am new to Jeep and looking forward to starting this journey!

The one pictured is a cheap eBay bar. I also have a Raxiom 50" above the windshield.

Yes! It mounts in those same 4 holes in the middle of the cross member as well as few spots on the frame rails.

Let me know if you have other questions!

Rear Bumper

I noticed the rear bumper has an integrated 2" hitch receiver. Is it rated at the same towing capacity as the factory tow hitch (3500 on a 4 door)?

Thanks

What is the thickness of the D ring and the hole diameter? I guess that's actually 2 questions.

The mounts for the D-rings are 3/4" thick and the holes are 1" in diameter. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Those D-ring mounts bolt right into the frame horns so they're plenty strong. I don't think you'd have trouble towing from there. I've seen people that use tow bars attached to other bumpers in that way without issue.

I can't tell from Currie's website how that bar mounting plate bolts onto the Jeep so I can't tell if it'll work with that Barricade Bumper or not. Let me know if you have any other questions!

Eagle Jk I installed mine last weekend. Super easy to install once I got the stock bumper off. I did have to pull the wiring harness apart some to get enough length for the fog lights to work.

If the carrier doesn't seem to move freely you can grease it up a bit. I took apart one handle and greased it to make it move much easier. Let me know if you have questions about how to do that.

As far as a rattle, I would imagine it's caused by the same thing that Steve is talking about.

All I need is a hockey puck spacer or something to get that one to work. But the others don't line up with the spare tire carrier bars/arms. I was thinking to drill holes and mount the bumpstop/spacer onto the actual carrier. Any ideas? Thanks.

I looked our Jeeps and the Barricade tire carrier doesn't contact the tailgate. We haven't heard that anyone has had rattling until now, but now that we have feedback I'm going to pass it along to Barricade and see what can be done.

In the mean time, it looks like the driver's side tailgate snubber is in line with the carrier, it's just too short. An extension could be added to the tailgate side or the carrier side to ensure solid contact. There are a few other fixes that I can think of but this is probably the easiest if you find that you have a rattle.

I'll speak with Barricade and see what they suggest we do as well. I'll keep you guys updated!

Those lights look awesome in there! I love the square peg in the round hole. And the fact that you found some that are plug and play is cool.

I'm really glad your bumper go to you in perfect shape. The boxes have worked about better for shipping in that respect.

I'm always here if anyone has any questions or just wants to talk Jeeps!
