wrangler fstxd Has this happened to anyone else out there? It is driving me crazy. I still have much of the clutch left. So I thought that I would keep on driving till I have to get a new clutch. the clutch has 108000 miles on it. but still going strong.
Let me know what you think.

wrangler fstxd Welp the prob. is i9n the linkage. As far as I can tell it must be inside. But it is just st kicking out. From what I can tell the sinc. for 1st also works the 2nd gear. Im about ready to get a new trans drop it in and then tear into the ol.d one and just try to figure it out.

wrangler fstxd Yup they will and I dont like it. I have had this Jeep since it was new. It has 110000 milws on it and it doesnt use a drop of oil. I have had a problem with the climate control switch (I have put 3 in it) dash cluster wiring harness, fuel pump, and an exhaust manifold. But other than that it has been a great ride. I use it for hunting alot and cross rivers, Ride around the cow pastures looking for what ever. But most of it is just for fun. But I do love to eat deer and turkeys. I really cant complain. I love this JeeP and dont want to get rid of it. She is as close to me heart as my wife, daughter, and harley. I want to keep them all. But I would like to fix the trans myself if at all possible.

wrangler fstxd Ok I guess that I will try that. It cant hurt. It sure will be better that paying someone to look at it. The wind was blowing real hard here the other day and I broke one of the hood hold down strape. Do you know that the Jeep place wants $46 each for them? I thought that was a bit much so I ordered a pair of the locking h/d for $43. I figured that if one was bad then the other could go bad soon.

1BLKJP Well that being said I still think you have something wrong outside of the tranny. It might benefit you to take the console off and see if it you can tell if it's hitting the side of the tub. Or you very well could have a blown tranny mount I suppose.

wrangler fstxd There is no lift at all. It is pretty well stock except some 30x9.5x15. But I have to let you know I have REALLY put this Jeep in HELL. Just replaced the exhaust manifold. It cracked. Not a bad job to fix. But still a bummer.

Yup, if you have a body lift AND a transfer case drop, you could be running into that problem. We need more info.

Just to let you know that Im new to this site. But I have a 99 Wrangler that I have had since new. I have had a few little probs with it like the instrument cluster harness messing up. Then there was the Exhaust manifold cracking. But you have to understand that I have given this wrangler HELL. It has been put in the ditches creeks and rivers. But Im having problems with the trans. Everything works fine except 1st gear. I can put it in 1st and it kicks out. Other that than that the trans is fine. Most places tell me that it is going to take $1000 to fix the prob. But I beg to differ. Let me know what you thing or know.
