mata_marcos the jeep mystique is great all eyes r always on the jeep and ppl always have envy in their eyes. i put gas yesterday and a dad in a minivan looked at me and said i miss mine. he was a taller guy and said i would have kept it but and ushered me over to the van opened the door and there sat triplets. soooooo cute!

Shelby427 The Jeep Mystique, pretty simple. It was the first and still is the best.
And folks are in awe of it. Jealous because their ride will never take them where a jeep can. And it's the "been there/done that" look of a jeep and their owners.

OK except for the blingers and Barbies*.

*My sister Barb excluded. She drives a TJ, and it ain't no Barbie Jeep, though she is a drop dead Barbie looker.
Her Jeep is usually filthy and is towing a motocross bike/trailer.

JimTJ My girlfriend has a 17 year old daughter and a 12 year old son. When the question comes up, "Which vehicle are we taking?" Jeep beats minivan or car every time. Daughter went to take it out once and came back with dirty water all over it and a big smile. She said she was sorry but when she saw the puddle she had to drive through it. I smiled and said I would be worried if she didn't drive through the puddle.

BluStinger Just wanted to stop by flip over and say hi! Just got my 1st jeep yesterday. It's a 93 Wrangler, and I love it. It's got some work that needs to be done. But it runs great!

mcmillcd I am have been a Jeep owner for all of 2 weeks and I think my nephew said it best while we were eating lunch with the top off after fishing, " life is good... Especially when you own a Jeep." Thank god for 10 year olds.

There is a "mystique" about them.

On a side note-I was at work the other day waiting tables and a guy comes in and out of the hundreds of vehicles outside and all the people inside, he is like "is that your Jeep outside?" It's not like it was close to the front door or anything. He just knew it was mine. It still flabbergasts me. The guy said that I just "looked like I drove a Jeep" I don't even know what that means?! haha I am hoping it is a good thing
u were flabergasted really? u must forget that u can almost always tell a jeeper just look for the signs if ur not bald u prob. got jeep hair. u have a smile like a 13 year old teen with his first love. u r sitting with 2 of ur friends telling them about ur crazy wheelin the day or night before. and last but not least ur left leg and only ur left leg is all wet or full of mud from letting it hang out the driver door and didn't noticce the puddle u ran through until it was to late. lol

lynn The 7-slot grille and headlights is one of the most widely recognized trademarks in the world... almost as universally recognized as Coca-Cola and the twin arches. Show that grille to any kid in almost any country, and they know it is a Jeep...

Celtic Character, longevity, strength, perseverance, uniqueness, capability, freedom. How many other vehicles can you positively identify at 300 yds without your 10X50s?

Tony 76 Like Levinoss said I'm watching tv right now and I've watched three movies in a row and no kidding there's been jeeps in all three, first two had both CJ's and YJ's the one I'm watching now has TJ's only. Never really payed attention till today i mean I noticed the jeeps just not how much they are on TV

Yes! I`ve barely had mine a week and my girlfriend has picked out at least a dozen in tv shows and movies since then. She`s just dreaming of owning one I know it

StreetsideStig I think it goes all the way back to WWII. Sure, there's a Series I Land Rover culture, but there isn't the same appreciation for the Japanese or German or Russion 4x4s of WWII. When I think of WWII vehicles, I think of P-51 Mustangs, Sherman Tanks, and Jeeps.

bfortunata I normally drive srt8 magnum which is stealthy and doesn't get much comment, but when i got a 97 jeep wrangler to drive for the winter to save my mag from the salt I get comments every where I go. Women tell me they wish they had one instead of their mini van or suv, men all want to ride in it when we go out for lunch. When it's parked in front everyone asks about when they come in the office. Go figure the appeal of a 4wd tent on wheels! I've had 4wd pathfinders, blazers, suburbans which never got noticed in my experience the only thing that comes close to the jeep in automotive desire is a classic muscle car convertible. It's the combination of top down, go anywhere, American style that makes every one imagine themselves behind the wheel, automotive freedom!

DerekM I work in an office where everyone drives hybrids and civics. I get a comment at least once a week about how cool my Jeep is. Why does everyone always want to drive it! Except my wife, she hates that I spend so much time with it.

I was thinking the same thing. There are two things wrong with that..you watched Twilight AND you don't like the four-door JK? Come on now...

IdahoIslander When we started seeing alot of Jeep knock-offs like the suzuki sidekick, etc (198?) we coined a term for them to help out or ignorant friends. We call 'em "Cheeps"
So my son grew up thinking that there are Jeeps and Cheeps. Proud of that boy.

mrcarcrazy Right after I got my Jeep, I yanked the Doors and top off and went to my Grandmothers house. My mom and my 2 nieces were there (their dad has a "hummer h3").

My oldest Niece (2 at the time) told me I had a pretty hummer, to which I corrected her saying "this is a Jeep, and its much better than your daddy's hummer."

I was hoping that'd get back to him, but he never admitted it.
