thaduke2003 ^ The grate on the inside hasn't collapsed? And the mount hasn't given out? You must be that lucky guy, then, because you're definitely the exception to the rule. Our 33 on Briana's OEM carrier is stressing it a bit- thankfully, we have mine as a spare Mark W.

xxxxxxxxdavem dont know about everyone else but the 35's on the wifes rubi has been ridin the stock spare mount for 2 yrs and 4 months with absalutely NO problems here.

CruserBruiser 35" tire is just to big for the stock carrier.

thaduke2003 It won't last- 33 is too big 35 WILL break it off, with BAD times resulting- pity the person behind you! Mark W.

jeepers92 I have a 35 in on my stock carrier, the only reason is havent had the money for new bumper with swing out tire carrier. it holds fine but pops and cracks alot.

I carry a 33" tire on my stock carrier, WITH PROPER BUMPSTOPS and being under 80lbs, my hinge welds are OK, but

I've been thinking about those 35s and wondering if anyone has a 35" hanging on the stock tire carrier. I've seen brake light tower extenders for it, but wonder if the tail gate carrier will handle the weight of a 35" tire?
