minderbinder3 x2 on checking craigslist. Last year I found somebody selling a used set of 4 2.5" lift springs and all the hardware involved for $150. It was a weekend worth of work removing the old rusty bolts with the stock springs, but it was the best $150 I ever spent. Now my Jeep is the same height at all 4 corners. My old sagging springs made for uneven heights...plus the extra 2.5" gave nice space over the 31's. You might even post that you are wanting to buy springs and see what responses you get.

GRYDE001 x 2 on seeing if anyone is willing to part with their stock springs, I'm sure there are lots of them just sitting around in garages after people get done with their lifts.

check Craigslist

4Jeepn You can buy stock replacement springs, and I would replace them in pairs. If you want to lift the jeep now would be the time to do it.

turdhurdler If your springs are stock height and original, I would look into replacing all 4 at the same time. The reason is because a new spring will actually sit a little higher than a used/broken in spring. The tires will work and look fine with a small lift. Since you just bought new tires, go with no more than a 2 1/2" lift unless you plan on going with bigger tires next time around.

I have a 93 with a 4" lift and run 31" tires. I get a ton of flex out of my Jeep this way. 33s would probably look better and I plan on getting them next time around. I am attaching a pic of my Jeep as it currently stands.

whiteyj If you are sitting on stock height springs and running a tight budget.......I would get involved in some of the discussions here to get your post count up (See the 4 sale section sticky) and then post a want ad. Surely there's someone with their stock leafs that would mind getting rid of them.

Otherwise here is your opportunity to lift it. Pick a new 2-1/2" lift kit which will include new springs and you're all set. Again check out the YJ lift kit section as there's lots of good info there.

Leaf spring bent(front).Advice?

Hello friends! Found out that my left front leaf spring is bent thus bad alignment->worn down side pattern on tire. Apparently it's from previous owner. Anyway here is what happened. I changed all 4 tires 215/75 R and mechanics couldn't do alignment b/c of the spring issue. Now what should I do?
1. Buy one or both sides?
2. Can this be fixed via any other method(prob. not b/c its a spring..)?
3. What is the difference on the size of leaf spring suspension 2" ,4" etc. Can those sizes be used on my jeep with these new tires I got safely? I read this is a good time to go "up" but with those tires is it possible?
4. What is the standard size on YJ 1993 for leaf springs if I order?

Thanks a lot! in advance
P.S. I can post a pic of the problem. I will figure out how now...
