Yeah its kinda sucks its not available yet but it was nice to hear they are working on it. Im not a fan of doing it the other way by grounding the relays out and tricking the system. Ill just wait till superchips releases it and it will be done right.

My tires don't have sensors, so I need it to be completely disabled.

I have a full set of the sensors sitting here in a box, but TPMS annoys the hell out of me when I air down and go off-road...

paleh0rse Yeah, without a doubt the throttle response is phenomenal compared to stock. It's almost TOO responsive with my manual trans, new gears, and the added torque! Once I'm used to it, though, I'm sure it'll be less jumpy.

On another note, I'm having an issue with the TPMS Off-road add-on. It successfully turned off the warning light, but it still says "Check TPM System" when I turn on the vehicle, and defaults to the tire pressure display. It also says "System Warnings Present" when I scroll through the menu options.

So, the warning light is gone, but something in the system still thinks the TPMS is on and failing.

Does anyone else have this issue? I didn't have this problem with the AEV ProCal, so I'm hoping it's just something they forgot to add to the custom update they sent me today. Hopefully they can fix me up tomorrow...

This is exactly why I ended up going SC instead of Diablo Trinity. I had a Predator for my Charger and it was very much NOT a stock vehicle. The Predator CMR tuning was absolutely awesome for that application. My JK is basically stock though and I couldn't justify the $515.00 for a Trinity on a vehicle that doesn't even have custom cams or ported heads available.

For your earlier question, the 91 Octane tune from SC really woke my JK up. It feels like the canned 93 Octane tune from Diablo + increased shift firmness and throttle toe-in options enabled. It does wonders for the dang drive by wire mushy accelerator pedal syndrome.

TherapyJeep ^thanks for the feedback. Exactly what I'm looking for.

I have a lot of experience with SC, on multiple vehicles, and have found their tunes usually blow the competition out of the water as far as performance. I also love the advanced trans tuning I bought for my ram. Reduced TM is also great. Only downfall is no custom tuning for power adders but that's not an issue for our jeep lol. The SC will likely be the only performance mod. We MIGHT do a muffler and drop in filter at some point...

Thanks.
On my 2013 JKUR (manual), combined with 37" tires and 5.13 gears, the added responsiveness and quickness after switching the 93 octane tune last night was readily apparent. I could feel it from the very first moment I hit the gas! I tested the new gears with the stock tune, 87 octane tune, and now the 93 octane tune. The changes from the flashpaq tunes were definitely the most noticeable using the 93 octane tune, but that may be because I have a manual. Both the 87 and 91 octane tunes could/should be even better on automatics.

I'll let you know what affect it has on mpg and rpm after I do about seven more days of testing...

paleh0rse Anyone else have the base 130 radio with satellite and notice that it no longer shows the satellite channel number when changing stations after tuning? I can't figure out how to get it back either... lol

Yeah think doing it on the weekend was not the best idea but I was excited to try it out haha. Thanks for all the tips. Ill report back in here after I hear from superchips.

This is really frustrating. I guess I just need to forget it until I talk with superchips. JK-linux Ya got me. It took me awhile as well. Only replies I got to my posts on Jeep forums were "my 2012 updated fine". I'd call SC tomorrow first thing. They have really competent folks manning the phone.
11-17-2013 01:29 PM
paleh0rse I got mine working with the 87 octane tune, tire size adjustment, and gear ratio change; but, I can't for the life of me get the damn Spark app on PC to download the TPMS Off-road add-on.

After I click to "Accept" the waiver, the app just goes to a blank grey screen and sits there forever.

Seriously annoying...

The problem is im not getting any errors and the program seems to update the tuner no problem. If I unplug it then plug it right back in, its like I never updated it.

I did this last night just to see what it would do after I read your post and it does the exact same thing.

I have not gotten to the screen where it allows me to submit an email. It just keeps telling me updates available over and over again. So far im not impressed with superchips.

The firmware on the tuner is 3.05.01 I wonder what your firmware is. Thanks for the help here I'm sure it's something simply. I was able to program my tpms and tire size which I'm happy about.

That's when your CALID gets set to SC to be added to their database and atune is then adapter for your CALID. It's almost like, if you have a Jeep with a CALID it doesn't recognize, then the 3870 is a "generic" tuner until it knows what Jeep you have.

This is true but I contacted them about the beta testing which is why I currently have a tuner . I figured they would have had it all sorted before I got it. I'm sure it's just the issue with the CALID. I just can't get the thing to update which may be my only issue.

TherapyJeep FWIW I've had several superchips on several vehicles and their computer software sucks as far as connecting the tuner to the computer and getting updates, etc. If you're having trouble with it do yourself a favor and call them, they have good customer service and will take care of you. I once spent nearly a year (a couple attempts through the year) trying to get the software on the PC to work so I could buy advanced transmission tuning for my dodge ram and then finally called them and they had me send them the tuner and they replaced it with a new one free of charge and then it worked.
