Jerry Bransford That sucks but come to San Diego where there is a rash of "built" Jeeps being stolen, mine being one of them last month.

redram2500 You know what someone stole off mine? The antenna and the Trail Rated badge. WTF? They didn't even use dental floss to avoid f&#cking up the paint. Just popped a screw driver under it. If I ever caught someone messing up one of my cars I'd cut their thumbs off. Good luck having a beer after that ya' a-hole.

bpm54 After finding out just how much a full door replacement is.
I ended up replacing a ragtop with a 2 piece hard top because of the security issues.

I think the $2000.00 well invested. Granted not the freedom of a ragtop, but the peace of mind is worth it to me.

T-BONE N BIXBY I bought my jeep from BA JEEP in Broken Arrow. While signing the papers, they had a guy taking locks off the door hinges. The salesman told me that thieves will go to the car lot, take up close pics of the doors so you can't really tell who's jeep it is, advertise on CL, then when the money is collected, then they would steal the doors and give them to the buyer.

Storm27m I have noticed a lot of them for sale on craigslist in a town just NE of you (but on the Tulsa craigslist). Someone in SW Missouri was reporting a rash of door thefts there as well.

Bobthegod Ya know what works pretty good in theft deterant. Go down to your local Wally World or Bike Shop and get one of those RED flashing bike lights they're always wearing while riding.....you know the ones that flash so you can see them. Turn it on and set in on the consol or dash, it's so bright that the NO GOOD SONS-A-B***** think twice before attempting to steal anything.

T-BONE N BIXBY I'm in Bixby and have NO NUTS on my doors!!! I keep it in the detached garage at night, but it's quite a distance from the house so I wouldn't hear anything. Where did you hear this from? Is it on the news or a local news website?
