ryt2112 I have two short bungee cords that I keep just for the swaybar. I strap it up to one of the supports.

snwchris Yep, pull the pin and keep in pocket or glove box and then push sway bar up towards hood and then zip tie the JKS Disco to the swaybar.

Sounds more like you had "DW" instead. Running with no swaybars will not cause that.

bpm54 Ok folks, I assume all one would have to do here is pull the pin to disconnect but, how do you secure it out of the way, with a strap or wire, zip-tie?

bpm54 Ok troops. here it is in all its greasy glory. Looks like there is a pull pin type quick release on this.

I assume, pull pin and then, what bailing wire to hold it in place out of the way?

Actually I have the JKS disco, but for the past 1 1/2yrs have been running the Jeep with them disco'd and tied up. I'll probably just remove them period.

There's a little more body roll, but nothing to be worried or scared about.

Really? I had a broken one. It was very scary on the highway. It would start rocking back and forth uncontrollably and would not stop until I slowed way down.

As for the mystery switches. They remain so.

x2, I have the manual version of the SwayLoc and it's easily one of my top 3 upgrades. Flexes nice with control...

Those switches definitely will not be for the JKS swaybar links. Take a look at where the JKS link meets the axle and there should be a method to disconnect them. The new "Quicker" disconnects that I have come with a pin with a clip ring sorta thing that you flip backwards and then pull the pin out, allowing you to slide the link off of the axle end.
Do that on both sides, and then strap them up into the wheel well somewhere so they don't get hit by your newly found flex

Also, if you could post a picture of what you have under there it will help to identify exactly what you are dealing with.

Kate If you feel like investing a little in a mod that will make it very close to the one on the JK, you can get an ORO SwayLOC.

They have one that's air actuated and a manual for those of us that are budget minded.
I went for the manual, and I think that - to date - it's the best money I have spent on my Jeep.

snwchris Nope only came on the 07 and newer models when the JK was introduced.
It still has pretty good articulation, but if you want better, pick up some JKS Quick disconnects and put on in place of factory swaybar links.

Electronic Sway Bar Disconnect Question

Did the 04 rubicon come with this feature? I went to the jeep website and it says it is standard on the newer model rubicon. Says with a flick of a switch it will disconnect the Sway Bar in 4L.

I don't see a switch in my 04 rubicon that is related to sway bar disconnect.

Only switch I have on the dash is the axle lock.
