Look at soft door hardware for the CJ
You will have to drill and bolt or weld
a plate but it should work

|mhicks||There aren't any guts on the ones I bought except for the window stuff. The door latch is not on the inside of the door. It mounts flush on the inside skin of the door. No place for the peices to go inside the door.|

...unsure how to do it.
When I got my new doors I was told that 87-95 would work with my '94. They were from a '92, all I had to do is loosen the hinges to align everything right.
that aside... there may be a way to remove the guts from one and put in the other

|mhicks||Surely sombody has done this.|

|mhicks||The current pin that sticks out is about 4 inches lower than the latch on the newer old doors. Can't put the new handles on because they are made to go on the interior of the door(between the door skins), not just the interior of the vehicle. These latches mount flush on the inside of the door and not between the door skins.|

|Vaultzz||I'm sure you could either remove the pin from the body and replace it with the plate latch or remove the handles from the door and replace them with the newer ones that use the pin latch|

Can I make these doors work?
I purchased these doors for my son's 1994 YJ. I think they are off of a '76-'81 jeep. One is missing the inside handle/latch. Can these be made to work on a YJ? They fit the tub just fine but they are made to latch onto a strike plate but the half doors I have on the YJ latch around a strike pin. Is there a kit to make these work? I know I can just remove the strike pin and the assembly that holds the strike pin but how can I make the older doors work?
