I have noticed that most have the white letters in with black rims. I guess it's just my preference to have them out. I just like the look, it breaks up all the black.
I will have to check out the thread about it.

I like the original wheels too, but they have too much backspacing. I thought about using them with wheel spacers, but I just don't like the idea of wheel spacers.
I may be adding a 1" body lift to the Jeep next. It does not rub, but if I were to get off the pavement it probably would.

It looks like it's in great shape. My first Jeep was almost identical to yours minus the hard top...and so the obsession began!
Good luck with your build!

Very nice... pick yourself up a black soft top for it too...if only for the summer months. It'll look really nice then
And I agree...those wheels and tires will make a world of difference!

My new to me 98 Wrangler - Progress...
I just got my 98 Wrangler Sahara a couple of weeks ago.
I bought it off Ebay and got kinda screwed. When it got here (via transport company ) I found that it had a very loud engine noise (Lifter). Once it warmed up it would begin to smoke pretty heavily, and the oil pressure would drop to about 5 pounds. It has 170K miles on it, and I was not too worried about the 4.0 with higher mileage. I think this one had overheated at some point. It had a rubber freeze plug near the back of the block as well.
I just sucked it up, and with some help from the guys at my shop we rebuilt an engine for it ( I had a 98 Grand cherokee engine that had spun a rod in the back of the shop )
It runs great now, and is super clean for a 98 with 170k miles.
This past weekend I installed a 2.5" Coil spring w/ shocks lift. I have ordered some black steelies, and am planning on ordering 33x10.50 BFG KOs tomorrow. The front bumper was made buy a guy I work with. I am just posting pics as I go... Yall let me know what ya think ( Good or bad )
BTW - How do you post a picture on here without adding it as a link?
