computeruser In short, no. The Gobi racks seem well built, but pricey. Garvin is solid, but kinda clunky looking and requires drilling. Cargomaster is solid, but also requires drilling if memory serves.

I think the best solution is to put plate steel corners on the rear, drill the tub, and build custom.

TJ Roof Rack Questions

Hi All,

Please can you help with determining which roof rack would be the most suitable. I have been doing a lot of off road camping recently.
I would like to buy or build a roof rack system. Firstly are there any systems that do not bolt into the vehicle and will not require drilling any holes in my precious Jeep. 2. I would also like to be able to easily remove the rack so I can still drive topless.3. Must carry at least 250 pounds of weight. 4. Must be a 6x4 frame.

Any suggestions as to what model to buy or any plans so I can build myself.
