helihooked Thanks everyone for your opinions. I sure appreciate it. What a great forum.

brodydez In my area that thing is worth about $26k. That is private party value. The extra grand may be worth it for the lift and all the extra tera flex stuff on there. I bet you can get them down another $500 or so.
How far of a DD do you have. If it is a long one, you may not like the ride. I would possibly look at new ones from a dealer with at least a lift and tires on it. They are giving some pretty sweet discounts right now. I found that my local dealer was doing invoice plus $2500 rebates on some wrangler models. Might make it cheaper going with a brand new one.

JIMBOX Well, I don't know where you are, or your experience/background/age/social status, but

To me in California, it's would be worth 23K--was I you, I wouldn't buy this one

You would have to spend too much $$ and too much time correcting/replacing/LIVING WITH what has already been done

I'd DECIDE on what you really want, then look for IT !!

helihooked Factoring in the possiblility of a re-gear and assuming it's just a mall crawler (no abused parts), what's it worth? Or should I just buy something stock and build up from there?

iamagolfspaz Well at least it has low miles on it. Sound like there trying to get back the investment that was put is. We all know that never happens. Nice color though. Just a bit steep in price.

thaduke2003 I ALWAYS want to run when I have a client who asks me to take a look at a modded vehicle they want to buy. TOO many variables- quality of parts is always an issue (most people go cheap, not do it right), and quality of labor is a complete wild card- did they torque to spec, or blast that bolt in with an air gun and strip the threads? Etc.

Anway, from what I see, I have to agree- the rear looks low, where's the spare, and 3.73's and 35's equals crap gas and a SLOW rig. You need a MINIMUM of 4.10's to get any performance or fuel economy with 35's. I run the SAME tires and 4.88's, and mine still has slow moments as a DD.

Next question is: why did they add a spacer up front? No reason to at all. This makes me wonder. Also, it'll add more nose-up attitude- you'll NEED the Daystar hood hold-downs, or your hood will flap in the breeze at 40+ MPH. Also, prepare for 10-12 MPG with that gearing and nose-up rake.

Looks like a gnarly mall crawler to me, or the start of a decent trail rig.

As for you, questions to ask would be- was it aligned properly post-lift? (Get alignment specs!!) Was it wheeled? What about extended brake lines? Driveshafts? Were oil changes observed on time? All the usual maintenance stuff. Check underneath to see if the stock skids are banged up any- check the oil pan and transmission for signs of damage. Same with the muffler and EVAP canister. These are places where trail damage often occurs.
Best of luck, amigo- Mark W.

helihooked Thanks for the comments. It would be both a DD and off-road use. Yes, I would get a winch. Good question on the spare.... I'd probably have to buy and aftermarket solution. As far as it not being level, it might be the angle of the pictures. I'm new to this, but it also looks like you could remove the 3/4 spacers in the front to pitch the front end back down.

JIMBOX Price is way to high, because of many hangups !!

Wrong gearing even for a manual
3" lift, justa little high-you're asking for axle, driveshaft troubles
Coldair intake--could be trouble
Stinger bumper--DD,casual off-road ???
No winch-gonna get one?, aluminum Fairlead only good for synthetic cable
Where does the spare go???
Not level, a load in back will really bring the front up !
too many chances for the price !!

helihooked I haven't had a chance to see it in person yet. Hope to this weekend.

daggo66 It could just be the picture, but it looks like the rear is sitting a little low.
