I did my mileage with the 235 tires replacing the 205's that were originally on it, and I get 13 after doing all the size conversion math.

AbbyK9 I did the math this morning and found that I get about 20 miles per gallon. I do mostly drive highway (55 / 65 mph) though.

You can change it, it's super easy, I have 33's on 3.73 gears and my speedo is only 2 mph slow at 65mph. Picked up a new speedo gear for 25 shipped from someone on this forum.

Jeep parts are a hell of a lot dearer too!

I think I need to emigrate, and maybe if our government doesn't change today I will.

jim_n_Looziana I get right at 17 mpg in the Yeep, but my 1 ton GMC....daily driver for work......gets around 12. I drive about 250 miles a day.

My fuel bill is between $280-$350 a week.

General contracting is EXPENSIVE, but you gotta pay to PLAY......

wolfen Mine is an 01 with a 2.5 and a auto trans, I pay between 2.75 and 2.85 depends on who's pocket is empty at that time of day, until memorial day when the fat cats here will make us pay between 2.95 and 3.25 a gal to help line more pockets, so I can't tell ya how much it is each time but last time from "your walking soon" light to full was $42

Kohrs93 I have a basically stock 94 2.5L 5 speed and before my irlfriend got her licsense I was usually putting in 25-30 a week. Now I make it 3 weeks on a full tank cause i make her drive everywhere

APPSTATEwrangler Well lucky for me I live in a college town where everything is a 2 min drive and work is only 5 min......I spend about 35 every other week.
05-05-2010 03:22 PM
Jeepzcb09 $45-50 for a fill up(15 gallons) on 33x12.50 and 3.73 gears( which i think 3.73 is perfect for 33's)

Cons_Table Just filled up today. $46 for about 14 or 15 gallons

CPD32 I spend $25 to $30 (if the top is off or I have a stiff headwind on the interstate) a day on gas. I work 80 miles from home and my 99 SE with 31x10.50's is not so great on the gas.

1991 Wrangler YJ Renegade right now, im running stock everything... and put out about $60 a week, driving to and from school, to and from work, and some round town stuff. I am getting a lift and 33's and I look forward to the increase in gas trips! : (

But you are in a Jeep, if you didnt want to spend $ on gas, repairs, mods, etc. you shouldve went with a prius...

TheTJRod I get more smiles to the gallon than any other car I have owned.

03 Sport. ~$45 to fill up when the idiot light comes on with about 14.5 gal. Only once did i go far below it. The light came on when I turned her on to go to work and thought I would fill her up on the way home. Ended up forgetting to bring my wallet and was scared I would run out the entire way home. Took just under 19 gallons to fill up the next morning.

emills Just filled the tank - $21. And that will last me for around 400 miles.

While I love driving the Jeep way more than the commuter car - it is nice to cut back on gas that much!

You haven't driven enough cars if that's the case

I just refill once the idiot light comes on. and that's generally around 14.7 gallons. with at our current ~$3/gal prices your looking at ~45.00

Somehow you're able to put over 20 gals. in a 19 gal tank?
20 gallon tank at ~$2.89/gallon
05-04-2010 08:36 PM
muddigger94 cost me about $55-60 and itll get me about 220-230 miles
05-04-2010 08:31 PM
jeepboro Another question about gas - My 98 Sahara claims to have a 19 gallon fuel tank? The most I have ever put in it was 15.5 gallons, and the needle was well below the Empty mark... How much gas is everyone else putting in when on Empty?
05-04-2010 07:17 PM
IROCthe4.0L Im around 40 to fill it like everyone else. My camaro on the other hand is quite pricey, around 55 bucks. All because it needs 93 due to 10.8:1 compression
05-04-2010 04:06 PM
jeep41 I feel your pain, I filled up today for $42, and my ram cost way more $$$$ with that 38 gallon tank in it.
05-04-2010 03:51 PM
sevenservices I kind of have a break as its only 7 miles to work... but, I was driving 82 miles each way for quite a few years...

Filled up today for $46.00 at $2.99 per gallon

My Chevy van has a 33 gallon tank, takes $100.00 to fill 'er up
05-04-2010 03:46 PM
AbbyK9 It was $3.01/gallon on base this morning, $3.09/gallon in town.
I tend to fill it up when I get to 1/4 tank, and it was $36 (I think) last time I filled it.

I drive 30+ miles one way each day, so just over 60 miles a day. Yeah...sucks for the gas mileage, but I don't have a Jeep for good gas mileage.
