Congrats on your Sahara.I have one myself I also had to get a key. I got mine at Home Depot for $60.00 Good Luck

|amerijeep||I know that a few of the locksmiths in my area can do it. They just need your VIN. Not sure of the cost though...|

|AzTJ||from what I've read iit must be done at a dealer, they are the only ones that can perform the new "coding".|

Just got a 2000 Sahara
Along with the thrill of driving my Sahara, I got a big surprise.
The previous owner had lost the Owner's Manual and only had one key. A new manual was forty bucks and a new key was 130 bucks.
Now my first question for the forum is: Has anybody figured out how to get around the coded key thing? The nearest Jeep dealer is fifty miles from me and I can get a key for all the rest of my vehicles for a buck or two.
If you have a solution to the key thing, I sure would like to hear it.
