Unlimited Ah.... Aftermarket. I think it's interesting that Bestop has trademarked the name "Sunrider" and Jeep has no problems using the name on their factory tops for the Unlimited. I didn't get a strap like that with my Jeep, but I'm guessing that if I did, I wouldn't use it. The top seems to stay folded back just fine on it's own.

Mine Either! Will someone post of Picture of how the strap attaches to the roof & jeep to keep it back and what the strap looks like.

Does this prevent that fold of the top drooping down when it comes out because of the wind?

Scotty355 just follow jpr pprs instructions, I left the strap hanging from my rollbar since the day I bought mine and love the sunrider it takes 2 secs to open on those nice days

jp'rs_peep'rs * Pull sun visors away to sides
* Loose claps at front header rail (do not remove from catch)
* Loose drip rail edges from grooves
* Loose claps from header
* Fold the plastic drip edge to 'V' pointing away from front
* Attach strap around center sport bar and to top
* Lock claps onto the top nearest the windshield header

dj_chizzle thanks but i guess my question was more trying to figure out if the sunrider top only folds back as 1 panel that gets folded in half, and then secured. i was only able to lift back one panel and didn't know if that's where it ended.

nicolas-eric you have to put the upper pin into the lower hole (when the softtop is closed).

nicolas-eric at the upper back side of thedoor sourrounds you have some small pins with that you can fasten thesoft top. the you can use the sunrider feature.
i´ll look for a picture of that...

'04 Unlimited Sunrider top

the weather was nice today so i decided to try taking the windows off my jeep for the first time. a few scraped knuckles and bruised fingertips later, voila, my windows are off!

i also decided to open up the sunrider top, and here's the real reason of my post. first off, the owner manual's explanation kinda stinks. secondly, i bought my jeep used to no dvd from the dealer

i undid the 2 latches up front, pulled out the drip rail retainers from each side, slid the plastic sleeves forward, and then....?

it folded back one flap, but i didn't see how it would stay in place. it seems like it's only folding halfway back, but i didn't see how to get the second part to fold back. what am i doing wrong?

i saw this helpful video on the internet but my top doesn't fold like his and i feel like i'm missing a step:
