I love the look with the fenders trimmed!! I have 3:55 gears and its ok as long as you dont have to go up any hills on the hwy. lol. I'm going with 4:56 gears VERY soon. It has an automatic trans in it and I had 4:56 gears in my 89 yj and loved how it worked. It was an auto too. I'm also looking to swap out these springs for Rustys 4" springs. I will keep you guys posted on how it rides when I swap them out.

4.10's would be a great combo for 33's and the 4.0 5 speed. I'm running 4.56's but I'm on 35's

Nice renegade. It'll look even better once it's lifted

My New Renegade

Well new to me! Just picked up my 1991 Renegade. Cosmetically she needs some tlc. As far as rust goes, some surface stuff underneath, no holes etc. 1 bad repair patch that needs to be ground down and finished. Engine has 164k on it no leaks, squeaks knocks or bangs. Had it up to 75 on the highway on the way home and it ran wonderfully. It does have the 3 speed automatic that didn't skip a beat. I love the unique look to this beast. First things first, she'll get a good bath, underneath will be power washed. All fluids changed etc. Then i'll see what needs to be fixed or replaced. Long term i think she'll look good lifted with little bigger tires and a fresh coat of paint.

hogan21j This was mine before someone hit me 2 weeks ago, ripped all the siding off the driver side. It was a very sad day for me, I grew extremely attached to the look.

Richard_95YJ Definitely look way better lifted , same with non renegade yj's

tjp yj Just bought a rust-free stock 93 - working on minor cosmetic fixes this year. Lift and 33s are scheduled for next year.

Thanks Cyndi, I agree with you on the stock appearance. They scream for big tires and lift.

They say stepchild because of the envy a rare Jeep like the renegade can bring put in people, even fellow jeepers. Enjoy it though.

lol, I'm not offended, I've gotten countless complements from strangers and friends alike. I was just pointing out your strange perception. And if you are saying all this and you don't even have a renegade, then envy could be the fuel behind your opinion.

Other than some cutting, drilling a lot of holes and fabing up some brackets I'd say it shouldn't be too difficult.

With the body parts off I'd look into incorporating some armor into it.
I really like these front fenders. Also notice the sliders below the side rockers...this is one BAD A$$ Renegade!!!
