I understand that the right way to do a 4" lift is the SYE/CV combo with adjustable control arms. However, my pinion angles are currently set properly for the components I have (pinion and TC parallel with ~3 degree offset to the driveshaft). The SYE/CV is coming but only after I get my control arms in place.
The rims are 12" wide and the tires are 12.5" wide. Again, not ideal but not overly tasking on other components. Anything that is/has been worn out is nothing more than normal maintenance for the age/mileage of the Jeep.
Thank you for the input as it pertains to getting my Jeep to the proper configuration.

You need adjustable control arms and your pinion angles must be way off. I'm surprised you haven't killed your ujoints already. The TC drop will help some, but it's not the ideal solution.
What size tires?
Looking at your profile pic you need skinnier rims as well. How wide are those rims?

|TJspeed||You need longer arms with a 4" lift. All 8. You need to adjust your rear pinion angle. And you need a SYE and double cardon drive shaft even with a 1"mml. I have a 3" suspension 1.25"body and 1"mml and I still have vibs.|

In theory the transfer case will change angles with the MML (steeper angle) ad would no longer match the pinion angle. Therefore removing some of the drop would reduce the angle, matching up to the pinion once again.
Is my theory flawed?

|InvictusDecretum||I'm curious to see if a 1" MML could completely get rid of the need for that 1.5" TC drop. Let us know how it goes if you do it.|

1"MML with a TC drop
Yup, that's the situation. I need to change my motor mounts so I'm playing with the idea of an MML. If I am correct this can help minimize some of the TC drop (currently at 1.5").
Is this doable with the stock control arms? I realize I will still need (albeit smaller) a TC drop and I'm ok with that. I just don't want to buy motor mounts twice if I don't have to.
-4" suspension lift
-Stock control arms
-1.5" TC Drop
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated.
