ct-tj Id say change the plugs, air filter, and as many of the fluids as you can. I just drove to NM from CT and it worked great for me. Make sure you use quality gas when you get up high, or shes gonna run like crap.

AzTJ Does an '03 even use wires? I thought they used on plug coils? But if it does have wire, I think I'd sawp them just to be safe.

1BLKJP What is that like 4500 miles? Might be a good idea to do a fresh oil change and tranny flush before you go.

Tune Up

So I am finally getting close to driving cross country (NY-LA) in a few weeks and wonder what a real tune up entails.
I asked at my local PepBoys and they said it is basically just spark plugs/cables, fuel filter and air filter. I believe my 03 has the fuel filter inside the tank and the boots (not cables) are about 15k old (lifetime warranty on them). Do you guys think changing just the spark plugs and air filter is enough? Am I missing something important?
I already got my tires rotated and will change brake pads this weekend.
Thank you!
