|Majnoon||I want stainless door handles for my 2000 factory full doors. The OEM ones rub and rust no point in painting it will rub off. I can't find them anywhere. Anyone have them?|

Some quality components come in chrome or polished stainless or polished aluminum. I guess we do not agree.

I am slowly remove all the chrome the PO put on my black TJ. Basically all I have left are the hood hinges and vent grill. I can't decide to paint them or buy new automotive painted ones.
Has anyone seen the black chrome hinges? Do they count as "chrome?"

I'm not sure I understand the Chrome hate. I've seen Chris Rock's CB4, and while that jeep looks ridiculous, that's no reason to hate all chrome on all Jeeps.
Here is Chrome done wrong:
But here it is done right:
I mean, sure, the second one is mine so I'm completely biased but so is, well, everyone else. I thought the number 1 rule of the Jeep community is that there's no insulting anyone else's rig. Which is why I will never do that. Unless you drive this:
Then there's no helping you.

|interceptor_1972||This is one of those personal preference things like color. Me, personally, I like moderated chrome on certain vehicles and bikes, but when it comes to Jeeps, I won't put any chrome on it. I'd be partial to Black when it comes to wheels, bumpers, etc.|

chrome 1 vote
I'm old school from the days when all cars had chrome, so any chrome I can put on my TJ I will. CHROME 1 vote.
It is all just opinion.. at the end of the day don't forget to wave.

I started a similar thread a couple of weeks ago just because I'm looking to ADD any color BUT black to my black Jeep. I like a little contrasting colors.

|jimkellam||The jeep I wanted/bought came with the chrome package. I wasn't too worried about it because I knew I was going to replace much of it anyway. The chrome looks better on black jeeps, and mine does look good in chrome. That being said, it will be replaced with all black soon, not because I am a chrome-a-phobe, but having only a couple things chromed doesn't look right when you start to replace parts.|

|Spud100||Mostly one or the other. I have black everything, except wheels (aluminum, not chrome) and planned that way. All black is too predictable. Cut back against the grain with one feature or another. I like black jeeps with black wheels, everything black but keep the chrome headlight bezels.|

Chrome, in moderation, and tastefully done. Chrome and aluminum rims look awesome. All black rims look drab. Even the black rims, with chrome accents look awesome. Like I said, Chrome looks awesome, if its tastefully done. All black, IMO, makes the Jeep look dead. It looks like a funeral Jeep.
Too much Chrome, send that boy home. Too much black, send it back.
Too much of anything is bad.
I got a black fuel door with chrome rivets, and chrome gas filler housing.
Now, I'm looking for a chrome gas cap, to sit inside my chrome housing.
You see black, and then you open it, to see the chrome inside. It's artistic, and tastefully done.
I have chrome bumpers and side steps, with black turn signal and side marker guards.
I'm unique and an artist. I've never been one to go along with a trend or any crowd.
I like to stand out, but in subtlety and class.
But, I don't like those all chrome Harley's or Hummers either. Too much chrome makes me blind. Too much black makes me ill.
This Jeep is awesome. It's a work of art. Just the right amount of chrome on a black Jeep. It gives the black, character. It looks totally badarse. All black? Nah.

I prefer black; but, I saw a Surf blue jk with a good deal of chrome that looked awesome. All it was used for was carrying surfboards and such though. Chrome, as long as it is done well, can look great. I would rather have a chromed out mall crawlen' Jeep than drive a vast majority of other cars.
Besides, it's the inside that counts...
