Peepers Wasn't my jeep, but we used a friends blazer to roll a 3' diameter tree section around his yard, and I have also done the stump pulling with and with out a winch.

seadog Multiple 60 foot pine trees.

Climb up about 35-40 feet and wrap a piece of logging chain around the trunk. Using a shackle, I attach the end of a 200 foot 3/4" rope. Wrapping another piece of logging chain around a tree or stump in the direction I want the tree to fall, I hook a single pulley up. Run the rope through it and attach it to my hitch. Put it in 4lo and head in a safe direction. When I get enough tension to spin the wheels, I stop and apply the E-brake.

I've bent some trees 10-12 feet in the opposite direction that nature intended for them. Notch the tree in direction of fall and backcut them with my chainsaw. Timber.

Worst part is getting my rope out of the tree. The sudden release of tension tends to wrap the rope into the falling tree.

Way back when, we called this "boot-hopping". It was great. Until you hit a dry spot.

sevenservices last winter I pushed two different ford trucks but hey, I guess theres nothing od about that. hehe...

One of the guys was like "yeah hows that little jeep gonna push my truck up the hill into my driveway" you my friend have underestimated the power of the allmighty jeep wrangler. And, I didn't even need 4l, and never spun a tire the whole way up he gained much respect that day!

cntrybmpkn86 A military Hummer fully loaded in Victoria Texas that was stuck in the mud. The funny thing is I only had front wheel drive. Blew the rear gears bout a week before and had them lincoln locked for the time being. Waiting on the super 35 kit. Only had a 20 foot tow strap. Wish I had pics but I do have witnesses. It was great.

Ha, That was 3yrs ago or more.

As for pointers...Yes don't use a chain. A tow strap works alot better.

amy I pruned a tree with my jeep. There was a big mostly dead branch in the tree. It was up too far for me to use the saw so I tossed a tow chain up and over it, hooked it to my hitch and slowly pulled. The dead branch came down but not on my jeep.

ANDYMAN I pulled home a telephone pole that a guy up the road gave me when I needed one to put a flood light on. I hooked up a chain and just dragged it down the road. It left a nice trail to my drive like a kids peice of chalk on the road. It got some good looks by the passer-byers as it fishtailed back and forth trying to take up both lanes of the state highway. Luckly it wasnt even a mile. The chain faired well for what it endured

Exer79 My dad's RV. He pulled it into his yard after 3 days of solid rain.

AfterMath 1. My roomates Toyota Celica when the engine seized.

2. My Grandpa's International - H.

3. My Father's Allis-Chalmers when fully loaded with a 1.5 cords of wood and the trailer only attached by a logging chain (the draw bar was dragging through the dirt)

Very proud of my Jeep on number 3.

Odder things you've pushed or pulled...

This one was a first for me...

I stopped in to help a neighbor today when I ran home for lunch, he got a friends zero-turn mower stuck in the bottom of the ditch pretty good... Da Dant Da! Jeep to the rescue!

What are some of the odder things you've pushed or pulled with your Jeep???
