whiteyj Thanks Dave. Is this something that the local NAPA store will have or dealership?

jpdocdave there's a special puller that threads on, pushes down on that spring, and you can remove a clip.

YJ Steering Column Help

I am trying to install a Grant Steering Wheel Security System which allows the removal of the actual steering wheel while the rig is parked. Figured one additional security measure couldn't hurt.

Managed to get the OEM horn button and steering wheel off but have hit a snag. I need to get ridf of the OEM horn butten and get down to the contact wire for the Grant wheel to work. Don't want to BFH the column guts and know there must be something subtle that I'm missing to allow removal of the next pieces.

All my reference books are packed for the upcoming move back to CA.
