drivebytruckerz If you don't get a new pan, at least on that driver side.. you'll be looking like Fred Flintstone in a couple of months..

AfterMath Cut out the pans...cut a new piece and place it...weld...?

I haven't done it either but I imagine it would be straight forward.

GameOver so I am also leaning more towards replacing it. My dad is a welder and I am taking welding classes but neither one of us has done anything like this how hard would it be to replace?? also those of you that rhino lined the tub, did you guys paint with regular paint first to just cover the scratches or did you just rhino lined it??

foxinthemudd POR-15 it. it likes to be applied to rust and works great from what I've heard. gonna do it on my jeep fj40 bed trailer. a little spendy but from what reviews i've seen its very very worth it.

clean up

So i decded to clean up the jeep. I started taking off the carpet to herculine the interior and heres what I found on the driver side.

Im trying to decide wether to replace the floor or just patch it up. It's hard to tell in the pic but it has rusted through in a couple of spots. what do you guys think?

everything else is in good condition. I think the oil leak helped keep the passenger side from rusting. the PO before my dad, had an after market oil preassure gauge that was leaking oil inside the jeep the carpet was a mess. I forgot to take pics of it before I took it off but believe me it was terrible.

here is just a couple of pics of the jeep
