clear lake jeepn No offense....but man..those just look goofy. At least you painted them black. When I first saw they were chrome I was really tripping...but the black is MUCH better. I have been rolling with no doors for almost a straight month now and the PO PO don't seem to be too worried about the fact that I dont have any mirrors. I even pulled up next to a cop at a red light about an hour ago and he was looking at my jeep pretty hard. He rolled down his window and asked me where I got my "Salt Water Soul" sticker that I have just below where the mirrors should be.

phottomatt OK finally got the mirrors, painted them and installed. The work great no vibration and the right hand mirror is completely visible. The only downfall so far, and it just warrants a little care in handling, is that the Y bracket is plastic. I used nylon washers so that they could be rotated in the socket and still stay tight, the washers are a little big but work good.

The Y brackets are plastic , The sock head bolts that came with them were too short so I ground down a couple 21/2" hex heads and JB welded them in so they wouldn't spin when I tightened the mirrors down on the door hinge.

DIY side mirrors

I just bought these off E-bay and they look like they can be altered pretty easy to fit into the hinge bracket. Looks like I can drill out the bracket and put extra long bolt in. $12.99/$12.99 shipping. They are for the Harley Cross Bones, I will post again when I get them fixed up.
