Second, what are you guys getting for mpgs? As I am driving the jeep daily more or less now due to the weather, I am noticing that the fuel economy isn't as good as my wrx (makes sense, older truck), but I just want to make sure I am ballpark everyone else. Manual transmission.

Thanks all, enjoy the holiday weekend! My dogs and I are waiting for the wife to come home in a couple hours for a ride to some trails for a hike and swim. Three Day Weekend for the win.

Your fuel gauge is probably off, Mines off ~1/4 tank (when it says full its really 3/4)

Kohrs93 I just filled up tonight and got around 19.6 mpg. Depending on how i drive (sometimes i'll drive economical and sometimes i like to have a little fun) i get between 15 and 20.

Garyk The tanks were stock at about 17 gallons (really about 22) and if you paid for the optional large tank, you got the same tank with a different filler neck.....do a search, there are instructions on how to change yours over. I get about 20mpg around town.

Moojamboo 22 gallon!?!?

I had 1/8 tank this morning, I filled it, and used 10.1 gallons - doing a little reverse math gets me to 12.6 gallon fuel tank size - what am I doing wrong here?

Would those vent necks and tubes add up to such a discrepancy in numbers?

thanks

Snuffy115 Chances are you have a 22 gallon tank installed. However, there inserts in the fill and vent necks that will fool the pump into thinking the tank is full when it's now. How long those tubes determine what the capacity is.

There's a write up somewhere on how to trim them.
