keep the posts coming re need help buying first wranger
Thanks so much. We checked Edmunds and it saysthe price is reasonable. We will try and get the guy down. We will look at the rust too. Good idea. We just want a plain vanilla first one with no lifts so we will see. Tomorrow we have to deal with getting rid of the old car
Closer to getting the wrangler....

First off, be wary of rust. I'm not sure where you live, but it can be an issue. I think you can find a lower deal, that seems a bit high for that amount of mileage. To give you an idea I sold my 97 with a lift and tires with 120k for $7000

See if you can find one from an individual. You'll save a grand or more..... Not sure what all to look for on the higher mileage TJ's.. Someone else will chime in soon tho'

Thinking about buying my first wrangler..need advice
Hi. I have around $9000 tops and thinking about buying a used jeep wranger from a used car place near me who sells tons of wranglers (and fixes them). If I buy a 1998-2002 wrangler with as much as 145,000 miles on it, what are the things that most commonly might go wrong quickly. I wont have much extra money to deal with fixing right away but I am a definate wrangler lover.
