Renissence Thanks guys, I didn't think rust would be a big issue in Texas, I'll check that out and the towing thing I never even though to check and I own a truck! I'm actually looking at this being my daily driver and I do an 80 mile roundtrip commute a day. Just want to make sure it will get me there and back every day. I've seen plenty with close to 200000 miles and that's what I'm looking at putting on a vehicle before I get rid of it and have always wanted a Jeep.

Thanks again for the input!

Geoff@Bestop Have you figured out the main differences between a YJ (the year you're looking at) and a TJ (1997-2006)? Not just the headlights, but the springs.

Wobble is something that can be fixed. And probably not an issue on a low miles stock machine. If it's been lifted, then maybe. But EVERYTHING on a Jeep is fixable. You can buy entire new frames and entire new bodies.

drivebytruckerz I always like to look for a well used trailer hitch with electric hookups. You don't want a tranny and engine that's been towing a 40 foot boat all over creation.. Also.. make sure they haven't towed it all over the world behind a camper.

Otherwise.. the rust is a major Jeep checklist item. Sounds like low miles though.

Looking to buy my first Jeep

Hello everyone. Well, I'm looking at buying a Jeep, new to me, but it's a 95 with 79000 miles on it. Going to look at it tomorrow and was wondering if there were some common things I should look at. I read the whole death wobble sticky and now I'm kind of confused about track bar on and track bar off, but aside from that, help please?

Thanks in advance!
