|castorj29||Once a week or when ever i take it off road. Wax once a month|
|06-07-2010 06:46 PM|
A lot more often than it looks or I get credit for.
I take a few dirt roads to and from work; it's impossible to keep clean. I can only keep it slightly cleaner than completely filthy.

|gotrailin||Maybe once in 2-3 months. Otherwise whenever it rains it gets washed by itself. If I have gone offroading then asap after I come back..|

Don't wash my Jeep.
I bath it...in mud.
Got a fresh bath this weekend at Tahuya ORV.

|sevenservices||I usually do the detailing once per year, per vehicle as well. Being on a dirt road, dust gets into everything over time.|

|firefighter777||i fully detail every 2 weeks and wash at least once a week. i love a clean looking jeep almost as much as a mudfilled one...naaaahh|

|greene91||I wash mine weekly. I like doing it and I want it to look good when I take her to the beach topless!|

|kmundy10||I wash mine pretty regularly. I either want it really dirty or clean, nothing really in between. I bought a new 2010 Sport and it is my DD. With that being said, I don't have the funds to buy a new car if this one gets damaged and I want it to look good because I plan on having it for a while. Also, I live in FL on the east coast. So I deal with salt air and love bugs on a daily basis (both of which aren't good for the paint).|
|06-07-2010 12:27 PM|
|Creeker||I wash it at least once a week. I used to be into detailing cars when I was younger so that trait never left me. Not only that, it's my DD so I wanna keep it looking good for as long as I can.|
|06-07-2010 12:24 PM|
|drivebytruckerz||Once or twice a month. If it rains.. I wash it less.|
|06-07-2010 12:21 PM|
I clean, wash vacumn etc. anytime dirt gets on or in my Jeep. It's black and looks like crap when it's dirty. (I also keep my garage mopped).

I'm new to my Jeep, but with my Tacoma, I would wash it regularly, weekly in the summer, cuz she was a pretty gurl! I had a pass at a local carwash for unlimited car washes.
When I took her off-road (especially mudding) I would was it asap, and detail it. If you get that stuff off right away, you'll minimize the damaging effects to your paint, and also reduce the corrosion underneath. Where I go mudding, it's all open range for livestock, so I'm getting more than just mud smeared into my frame and undercarriage than just dirt.
Just remember - trucks & Jeeps look great covered in mud, but that mud isn't good for them. That said, have fun!

|bflank||I consider mud an element of the paint scheme.|

|AfterMath||Wash? Can someone define this term for me please?|
|06-07-2010 10:18 AM|
|JC JK||Weekly because of the RAINS! I wish it would slow down so I can get the Top back off|
|06-07-2010 10:17 AM|
Rarely. I washed/polished/waxed it a couple of weekends ago, and then it rained....but only after the dust settled.
I now have a leopard Jeep....it'll be like that until it rains again I'm fairly confident.
My other two cars stay fairly clean, but the Jeep lives outside, so its a losing battle. and I have a life, so Cleaning cars isn't high on my "fun things to do" list anymore.

about once a month (I live out on a dirt rd.), unless I go muddin', then within a day or two afterword.
Mud is worse than salt in causing rust. Because, it holds in moisture longer. A spot of salt say 5 square inches on your metal will dry out within a couple hours. Dirt (same amout) on the other hand takes days to dry out. All the while, trapping the moisture up against your metal/paint.
I usually make frequent stops at the power wash to just spray out my wheels. I can't stand the shaking from all the weight of the mud in the rims
|06-07-2010 08:28 AM|
|Kodysteeler43||I wash mine almost every Sunday. Sometimes ill skip a week, i also powerwash mine. Dont get too close! I chipped some paint off the wheel because i got too close :o|
|06-07-2010 08:16 AM|
|InfernoGirl||Everytime it gets dirty and it's warm enough not to freeze doing it... But then I like detailing my vehicles. The reward for my effort is beautiful shiny paint that will look good for many years... Plus, I get to play in the hose on a nice summer day|
|06-07-2010 08:16 AM|
|Samanator||Hand wash every Saturday morning. Early since it is black.|
|06-07-2010 08:13 AM|

Whenever my son is available
seriously, I use to wash it quite often but have gotten laxed about a year or two ago. I wouldn't pressure wash it, that's the quickest way to damage the paint.
I do get my son to wash it but he thinks that gives him the right to go muddin' and getting it filthy beforehand.....

I personally wash my rig after every excursion. same with my bikes and quads.
I find keeping my stuff clean keeps them running better thus lasting longer.
I have a 2010 BLACK RUBICON, yes the water marks are a pain in the A$$ to get off. The grit in the mud scratches the crap out of the pain job if allowed to cook on, and here in Houston it is freakin HOT!!!!!. It may be worse here than other parts of the country.
