That works too if you don't have a powerwasher at home. With red Alabama clay, it is pretty much a requirement down here. In California, not so much.

Just make sure if you lay it out to wash, you lay it down where the ground is CLEAN, otherwise the underside will get nasty (assuming you're removing the top, duster, etc).

03 RUBI After coming back from the desert where we ran into rain, mud, dust and even SNOW, needless to say my black top was closer to being brown. After using soap and water with a soft bristle brush I still had stains. Got some BLUE MAGIC Convertible Top Cleaner and sprayed it on a foam rubber square and rubbed it on. Now my top is black again.

erickpl I took my safari top off and powerwashed it while it was on the driveway. It's now black again!

InfernoGirl Soap, water and elbow grease. Soft bristled brush will help get into the texture to loosen the dirt. When you get it clean use some 303 aerospace protectant on it to keep it nice looking. It's about a zillion times better than armorall...

cleaning the denim top?

what's the best way to clean the denim tops? Mine black and has mud stains on it. I've tried some of the top cleaners but they are lacking and require more much rubbing. I'm kinda tired of the karate kid approach and have used armor all wipes and they work great, but was wondering if there was something else.
