T-BONE N BIXBY Hard Top Paint and Carpeting - 1

Try this write up. This is for lining the inside with carpet. Stu Olsen knows a little bit of stuff.

Geoff@Bestop Here's a company that makes insulation kits for hardtops.
HotHead Headliners

I do not know anything about this company.

Sahara1998 This company makes a liner from a quilted 3M sound deadening material. I've heard some complaints about customer service though. There was a company that used to advertise in JP magazine that made a molded liner that sort of looked like indoor outdoor carpeting. I don't recall the company name though. Sorry.

lonur1 Do they make a hard top insulation product like they do for the JK Jeeps? It is pad that inserts directly into your hard top once it is on.

ct-tj When I got a busted hardtop for a good deal, I re-fiberglassed it and insulated it with those rubber backed door mats from home depot. Repainted the interior, and stuck the panels to the roof using 3M spray adhesive. Works great and keeps the noise down.

The wife working on it.

drivebytruckerz Anytime.. I forgot my sleeping bag on a camping trip on an island (got there via 45 minute ferry that runs twice a day so I was screwed) and I used a space blanked from my backpack. I was warm and cozy.. but very noisy.. but it was fall so it pretty much kept me alive.

brokejeep That would be easy to do. Thanks for the idea.

drivebytruckerz I know it sounds ghetto.. but you can get space blankets for like .50 each at walmart. A little duct tape and you're all set.

Hard top insulation?

Has anyone put something inside the hardtop for insulation to help keep the air conditioning cooler? My air gets cold but I was thinking it would help. Thanks for any ideas!
