4Jeepn I have a 2010 ford w 11k on it.. it needs one as I hit a pot hole the other day.. so there could be a valid reason.. IF the that is the only thing holding you back.. ask why and them make them an offer on the jeep.

Vanimal00000 I hear ya, and welcome to the forum! I don't really know enough about the JKs to inform you of any known defects but they could have done it just so it looks better on their half. Like one of those pre-owned vehicle inspections.

nana Thanks for the reply.
No, I haven't asked them about the alignment yet.
I knew the tire rotation was ok, but the front end alignment was a surprise.
So, I thought I would get some info before I asked about it and they gave me a line of bull - I just wanted to know if there was a known problem or something that might require an alignment this early. I'm planning on checking on it further this weekend and don't want to go in uninformed.

Vanimal00000 tires are usually rotated every 6K or every other oil change so the tire rotation is normal and i dont know what front end alignment is for. the steering in my TJ is straight/tight, pretty much perfect with 62,000. did you ask them why they aligned it?

Help for newbie, please

I am looking @ 2009 wrangler X with 9k miles $23k. The carfax report shows one owner, but the current dealer has performed front end alignment and rotated tires. Is it just me or is this unusual for only 9k miles? (car has not been wrecked)
I don't want to put money in this if it is going to be a lemon with ongoing problem. Any advice appreciated. Thanks,
